If you know anything about me at all, it’s that I absolutely love Spongebob…in fact, I live and breathe it, and I have my whole life. I grew up with a Spongebob themed TV, themed game, multiple DVDs, toys, various devices, home decor, whatever you can think of I either have it or have had it I’d bet. So, when I saw that there would be a chance to audition for The Spongebob Musical, you can only imagine how elated I was! After practicing for multiple months with my eyes set on a specific role: Sandy, I went to the auditions, and later got the call, offering me the role of Sandy Cheeks! This was only my second show ever, and with only one other show under my belt, even with how hard I’d practiced, I still didn’t expect I’d be getting my dream role so early. But that wasn’t even the best part of all of it. The best part was getting to work with such amazing people, some who I already knew and some who I just met on our first rehearsal. All of these lovely people have been so welcoming, so kind, so funny, and helped me so much along the way. I loved every little joke, sharing references, and connecting with everyone. The community building in the story of the show translated into the community building of the whole cast. We may not have been able to perform our second week, but the beautiful thing is we’ve still been staying in touch and finding ways to spend time together. I am oh so for thankful for the opportunity, the story I got to be a part of telling, and the people I got to meet and grow closer with along the way. It’s been a beautiful time in Bikini Bottom.
Oh and, one other little thing, I had this hope that I would get to be that person who helps a little girl who looks like me in this community feel better represented, and that DID happen, on the last night we got to perform, a little mixed girl told me I was her favorite 🥹, and a cast member later told me that he worked with her mom, and said that she was happy to see someone who looked like her in the show 🥰

🚨BREAKING🚨: Sandy Cheeks the Squirrel spotted at local Kwik Trip on the 4th of July, a popular holiday celebrating a land location called the United States. Citizens of Bikini Bottom are sharing their thoughts on the land animal being spotted out of our underwater town, as well as far from her home town on land in Texas. Some speculate she may just be conducting further research while others wonder if she’s left the town for good. More on the matter on our evening broadcast. by @lacy.ross

BY FAR A LEGENDARY SHOW!! 🔥🔥Took the trip out to Portland/Oregon✈️ and it was SO worth it. Marks my 3rd time seeing the awesome, high energy, trap metal legends👑🔥 @dropoutkingsaz and first time actually seeing @donbroco live 🖤🖤. Holy shit yall, the energy is unmatched 🤟🏽🔥 More photos from the rest of the trip coming soon, just had to make note of a new core memory 😂 Also should note that out of all the shows I’ve been, this was actually my first time moshing…Shoved my hoodie at Sam and said “IM GOING IN” as soon as Hype Man started 😂🤟🏽🤟🏽 taken in Wonder Ballroom by @lacy.ross
