Our team had a wonderful time at the Music Academy of the West last month, helping students, faculty, and guest artists keep their instruments performing at their best with rehairs, repairs, and expert support. It was also a pleasure to share a selection of exceptional fine instruments and bows, and to reconnect with so many friends along the way, including the incredible violist Richard Yongjae O'Neill (@richardyonjaeoneill). Thank you to the @musicacademy for your warm hospitality. We're grateful to be part of such an inspiring community and can't wait to see you again next year! by @lafineviolins

To mark the USA's 250th birthday, we thought we'd share something special: a few instruments in our collection that are even older than our country. 🇺🇸🎻 These remarkable instruments have witnessed centuries of history and continue to inspire musicians today. by @lafineviolins
A graduate of France's prestigious National School of Lutherie in Mirecourt, Baptiste Juguera (@baptistejuguera) continued his training under renowned luthier Frédéric Chaudière before establishing his own workshop in Montpellier in 2012. Drawing inspiration from the great Italian masters, Juguera creates each instrument entirely by hand, carefully selecting his tonewoods and preparing his own oil varnishes using traditional methods. Today, his instruments are played by musicians around the world and are recognized for their refined craftsmanship and artistic voice. This 2025 violin is exceptionally lightweight, offering effortless comfort without sacrificing power. It produces a resonant, ringing sound with outstanding projection, balanced by a vibrant, slightly bright tonal palette. The lower register remains rich and complex, making this instrument equally compelling in lyrical passages and virtuosic repertoire. An excellent choice for the emerging soloist or advanced performer seeking both brilliance and depth. This instrument has just been sold but we have other amazing instruments from our exhibition earlier this year. Schedule your private trial: (213) 471-2124 by @lafineviolins

Inspired by the great classical Cremonese makers, Pasolini combines traditional craftsmanship with a modern maker's attention to detail, creating instruments that are both visually refined and highly responsive.
