𝗡𝗲𝘄𝘀: One male driver was pronounced dead last night and several more people in another car were injured after the shooting victim crashed his car into another vehicle after allegedly being shot in the head in traffic near 66th and Holmes on the East Side within the #FlorenceFirestone district 🚘🕊️🌴🙏🏽

"A man was found dead with at least one gunshot wound after the SUV he was driving crashed into another vehicle in the Florence-Firestone neighborhood of South Los Angeles on Wednesday evening, authorities said.

The collision was reported at about 7:40 p.m. near 66th Street and Holmes Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

When first responders arrived, they found the driver of a gold Chevrolet Tahoe in the wreckage suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are still working to determine whether the man died from the gunshot wound or injuries sustained in the crash, KTLA’s Carlos Herrera reported from the scene Thursday morning.

The Tahoe collided with a white Toyota sedan, leaving multiple people trapped inside both vehicles. At least three people were taken to hospitals with injuries, though their conditions have not been released.

Authorities said a separate shooting was reported minutes before the collision near a gas station at Gage and Holmes avenues, a short distance from the crash scene. Investigators are working to determine whether the two incidents are connected.

Video from the scene appeared to show what looked like a bullet hole in the Tahoe’s right rear taillight.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said homicide detectives responded to the intersection at approximately 7:35 p.m. regarding a death investigation. The victim, identified only as an adult man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

𝗡𝗲𝘄𝘀: #LAHMFlockSeason 🏠🌴👀 | A condominium complex that was passed on for thousands of dollars in jewelry and cash in #ShermanOaks made the news after 16/21 of it's units were flocked by burglars during roach and termite fumigation 🌴👀

“Burglars stole thousands of dollars worth of items after ransacking a Sherman Oaks condominium building that was being fumigated.

In June, residents of the building on Moorpark Street near Fulton Avenue said they were forced to leave their homes for three days for a planned fumigation.

Feeling nervous about leaving the building unattended, residents came together and hired a private security company to provide 24-hour surveillance. Despite the added protection, the burglars gained access to the condos anyway.

Surveillance video captured at least three men entering various condos and stealing anything of value.

After spending around three hours inside the building, they escaped with tens of thousands of dollars worth of valuable items, jewelry and more. Victims said at least 16 of the 21 units had been hit.” · (credit: @ktla5news)

It happened three weeks ago at a shopping center parking lot at West 17th and Fairview streets. He said he and his brother were heading to Little Caesars.
