This semester has been so sweet and so fun…but let’s talk about what else it’s been.
I would’ve never imagined the chaos that would ensue after one urgent care visit for a migraine. A week in the hospital, some scary conversations with doctors, and a seriously hard time away from my people…
But I also never would’ve imagined the beauty that could come from it. A renewed confidence that Jesus’ consistent grace covers all of my inability. When I can’t form the words, His Spirit intercedes. When I can’t go on, His strength carries me. When I can’t see a way through, His grace is sufficient. And when I’m overwhelmed, He is my perfect peace. How incredibly lucky are we that the sovereign God of creation meets US in our weakness??

“Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

It’s been a rough end to the semester…but it’s a beautiful thing to be reminded that His power is perfected in my weakness and His grace provides me the opportunity to be content in any suffering!

And man, I’m just really building up that medical portfolio. Plus I had the best people keeping me company and keeping me sane…even in the midst of their finals!

What a wonderful week filled with amazing people and what an incredible learning experience!

Whatever comes, it is well with my soul because I recognize my role within the meticulous providence of the One who holds my eternity in HIS hand. No pain, sorrow, hurt, or confusion can take my eternal peace from the eternal God! It is well with my soul because my soul is secure within His will and His will is for His glory and my good. I've experienced the great love, endless grace, and immeasurable mercy of the Father, so I walk worthy of my calling and I spread the Gospel that more people may experience the fullness of joy only found in the presence of the Savior.

True joy is not found in a world of mirrors and no personality test can usher our souls into contentment. Only God can take a soul that’s curved into itself and gently curve it outward. Stop missing opportunities for fellowship with God and others by being stuck in yourself. Practice self-forgetfulness!
