I had the privilege of speaking at the Youth Leadership Summit put on by @bigkidfoundation ⁠at the @jomalonelondon ⁠headquarters alongside two legends in the game @tomtripp & @paigelewinofficial ! Being in a room filled with so many talented, passionate, and ambitious young people reminded me why I do what I do.Being able to share my journey, the highs, the setbacks, and the lessons I’ve learned and pour into the next generation of leaders was something I’ll never take for granted. Leadership isn’t about titles or recognition, it’s about creating pathways for others, lifting people up, and inspiring them to believe that they have a purpose.This is what it’s about! As a community, we have become far too desensitized to losing our young people. Every life taken is more than a headline or statistics, it’s a son, a brother, a friend, a future. Today, my heart is heavy as I remember Jamal a young man I had the privilege of mentoring and to all the young kings that futures have been cut short due to knife or gun crime.We cannot continue to accept this as normal.We all have a role to play. We must invest more in our young people, create safer spaces, provide opportunities, and have the difficult conversations before another family is left grieving.#LLJ💔🙏🏽 by @lamarrussell_

Youth crime is no longer something we can keep talking about as if it’s someone else’s problem. It has become an epidemic, devastating families, communities, and futures.I’m tired. Tired of seeing young lives lost, young people carrying trauma, and communities left to pick up the piecs. We cannot continue working in silos while our young people are crying out for support.Now more than ever, youth organisations, schools, community leaders, parents, faith groups, and local services must come together. Collaboration is not optional,it’s essential. Real change happens when we stop competing, start communicating, and unite around a shared mission: protecting and empowering our young people.Our youth deserve opportunities, guidance, safe spaces, and hope.
