like a fairy in an antique store ✨
felt more like myself in this outfit than i have in quite a while ❤️‍🩹 had the loveliest market day selling all the cute things i work so hard on and talking to likeminded people, i really felt like i got to be myself again!

not to get too deep in the ig captions but i’m very tired of the way life fragments me into pieces of myself… been working a new job which i really do enjoy but it’s hard having a work persona and spending so much time away from my art, after spending years in school focusing on it 🥲 I need a place to express myself more than ever, but even social media makes me feel like i need to separate myself into pieces, constantly being told to keep art and personal life apart- but I can’t separate myself from my art, and such a large part of me is dressing up 🩵
anyways, no one is reading this now but it’s just a long way of saying that I want to try to make a bigger effort to dress up more, share it with others, and stop overthinking what i post in fear of the algorithm/professionalism lol :’)

artfight attack #1 this year 🩵 i saw this sweet little mouse named doris and immediately thought she would be fast friends with lambie and had to paint them together 💗 (character belongs to halfpintoftea on artfight!)

this is the second year I’m trying to participate and only the second attack i’ve ever done ^^’ I’m hoping to get two or three more out this month, wish me luck!!

my very FIRST sticker sheet!! which sticker is your fave? 💗🏩❤️‍🩹 i’ve always loved cute medikawa and nurse themes so it was sooo fun to create this and add in lots of cute little details to each character 💗they’ll be here just in time for @teenscenebazaar 5/23 and @cloudcityflea 5/30 💕

i actually made the artwork for these last year for a class i was taking and finally found the time to polish everything up enough to actually send it in for printing 🥹 they’ll be big sticker sheets at 6”x8.5” and i’m sooo excited to share how they turn out when i get them in the mail this week!!

i needed a muse to help me get back into my sketchbook habits and test out my neglected himi gouache set! 🍓✨
i’ve been liking this little zeta series mixed media sketchbook a lot so far! i’ve always had trouble getting myself to put paint in a sketchbook but having a little one like this has made it easier to start 🩵 should i paint more plushies and toys next or try something else? 🤔

i’m sooo happy i finally get to frolick in the spring weather!!! 🌸 but also kinda sad cherry blossom season is already ending :’)
i put on a little fawn outfit and visited the cherry blossom trees last week with my partner and it was so lovely even though it was a tiny bit rainy!
photos 3-5 are by @mollyennisphotography who super kindly asked to take some pictures of me with the trees, they turned out so lovely 🥺💞

a teeny tiny jointed Lambie doll 🩵
I can’t believe I never posted this guy 🥺 A few months before starting my thesis I was experimenting with different clays to decide what would work best for my thesis sculptures, and I made this tiny guy out of paperclay, wire, and beads ✨ He’s palm-sized and just about the same size/shape as a kid calico critter! Now he sits with his other mini jointed friends (a 1930s mohair teddy and a handsewn teddy I made myself)💕 I’d love to make more dolls like this sometime!

a little retro showa-inspired self portrait featuring my best buddy 🎀🐶
this was part of a group project during my last semester! as a class we decided on a theme and color palette to create a set of trading cards for each of us, that would serve as a fun alternative to a business card 🩵 our theme was vintage old maid cards!
scroll for the full card design (and extra puppy content hehe)

Lambie: the Nostalgia Series 🦋 Cozy Day (Sculpt)

Yayyy my last post of my thesis lineup (at least for a while)! Thanks for everyone who put up with seeing only Lambie posts for the last weeks, I really just wanted them all together on my grid to commemorate my project here 🩵
This was the most detail intensive sculpt out of allll of them and of course it was the one I had the least time to finish 🫠 But I really love how the quilt texture and pattern turned out so it was worth the extra sculpting and the confusing plotting out of quilt squares in 3d 🥲 It was really important to me to include a nod to my childhood bedroom in this series- my walls were a pastel yellow bordered with pink butterflies that my mom painted when I was really little 🥺 I included yellow squares with pink butterflies in Lambie’s quilt inspired by it 🩵 I still think about that room all the time and how I slept in my bunk bed so many nights without realizing I would miss it so much one day ❤️‍🩹 by @lambieheart

Lambie: the Nostalgia Series 🦋 Cozy Day (Illustration)

The last one in the lineup! I designed this one last, way too close to my project deadline and under a lot of pressure, but somehow it still ended up one of my favorite designs 🥺💕 This one was inspired by my comfiest memories spending time at home with my mom and sister, playing video games and making blanket forts in the living room 🩵 One of my silliest sibling memories with my sister was something I really wanted to include since the start of this project- as a typical little sibling she always wanted to see whatever I was doing, and when she’d lean over my shoulder to watch me play on my DS her hair would fall in my face 🫠 so as the sneaky older sibling, instead of just telling her to put on a headband, I abused my power and told her she could only watch me if she put a diaper on her head 😭 she did (it didn’t help with the hair anyways) by @lambieheart
