Setting up our largest 50 × 60 cm large-format camera.

A portrait. And a positive image… made directly on Foma Variant 312 photographic paper, using an inversion process that produces a positive image straight away.

No negative to scan.
No digital printing.
A true silver gelatin photograph, made directly on paper. 🖤

The negative size? 50 × 60 cm.
Needless to say, everything becomes a little more impressive: the camera, the paper, the gestures… and the portrait.

An incredible and truly magical moment!

Le collectif KOLOS (Nicolas LAmbert et moi-même) participe à la Biennale d'Art Contemporain d'Arlon du 21 au 30 novembre 2025 ✨ ✨ ✨
Vernissage le 21 novembre à 18h30

Diptyque de tirages argentiques noir&blanc réalisés à la main 1mx1m10 chacun.

Appareil Polaroïd « Big Shot » de 1971, distance de mise au point fixe. Le film compatible avec le « Big Shot », qui n'est plus fabriqué depuis 2016, est le seul qui produit des négatifs, obtenus de
manière détournée.

L'oeuvre photographique KOLOS naît du mélange de deux mythologies anciennes : le colosse et la terre-mère. Le KOLOS est une entité d'une taille qu’on devine démesurée, terrible et nourricière, présentée par morceaux. KOLOS nous rappelle les limites de l’expérience humaine
tout en la propulsant dans une forme de transcendance, et veut susciter une réflexion sur nos
origines et notre relation avec la Nature. L’usage du film Polaroïd nécessairement périmé, avec ses imperfections aléatoires, donne à chaque
image un caractère unique, poétique, inéluctable.
