Landwise is proud to have played a role in bringing the final phase of Indwell’s The Oaks community to life! ✨

From phased site plans to minor variances and rezonings, our team worked closely with Indwell, the community, and the City to help turn a shared vision into reality.

Like the roots of a tree, strong communities grow through connection, collaboration, and a shared commitment to creating places where everyone can thrive.

The opening of Acorn Flats represents more than 23 new family-sized affordable homes. It represents hope, belonging, and the opportunity for individuals and families to put down roots and grow together.

Congratulations to Indwell, all the project partners and the families that will call Acorn Flats home on reaching this incredible milestone! 🌳🏠❤️

Today, Landwise recognizes National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. We honour the children who never returned home, Survivors of residential schools, their families, and Indigenous communities across Canada. Every Child Matters.
Reconciliation requires continued learning, listening, and action. Landwise remains committed to the Calls to Action, including Call to Action #92, by applying the principles of UNDRIP in our work and creating space for Indigenous voices and perspectives to be heard.
Through our projects and relationships, we are grateful for opportunities to deepen our understanding of the residential school system and its lasting, intergenerational impacts on Indigenous communities.

We continue to listen and learn to guide Landwise on how we can meaningfully contribute to reconciliation through land use planning, urban development, and the relationships we build along the way.

The Biindigen Well-Being Centre is a transformational Indigenous-led development in Hamilton that will bring together health care, early childhood education, cultural programming, and affordable housing within a single, community-centred campus.

The campus will provide culturally safe care, housing, and community connection while creating a lasting space rooted in Indigenous knowledge, belonging, and self-determination. We are honoured to be supporting the engineering design alongside project partners.

As this important project continues, we encourage our network to learn more and support the upcoming October Moon Gala, a celebration and fundraiser that helps advance the mission of the De dwa da dehs nye>s @aboriginalhealthcentre and the communities it serves.

Learn more about the Moon Gala and purchase tickets at the link in our bio.

🎉 A decade of impact at Landwise 🎉

This past week marked a truly special milestone as we celebrated 10 years with James Warren, who joined us on June 27, 2016.

When reflecting on his journey, James shared:
“They say time flies when you’re having fun. That was definitely the case for me at Landwise over the last 10 years. Of course, it helps to have a team who supports, encourages, and mentors through the challenges and then celebrates the wins together.”

That sentiment perfectly captures what we strive to build every day.

James, thank you for your dedication, professionalism, and expertise. Over a decade of tremendous growth, you’ve been instrumental in shaping Landwise into who we are today.

We’re proud to have you not just as a team member, but as a trusted colleague and friend.

Here’s to the journey so far - and everything still ahead.

Let’s keep going. 💪

Terri, Edward & Shannon
