Today @atlanta.mae_ hosted her second Dancer Wellness Experience!

What started as an idea and a vision in Atlanta’s head has now become two very real events - and I couldn’t be prouder of her.

@thedancerwellnessexperience is Atlanta’s concept and her format, created from her own experiences as a young dancer and her wish to create a space where dancers can focus not just on their dancing, but on themselves too.

Of course, she doesn’t do it alone, and that’s what makes today so special. She brings together people with their own expertise to help her vision come to life.

Today we had the brilliant @mikejfellows leading a stylised jazz session and @helenrackowepilateschelt returned having supported the first event. She delivered a dance-focused Pilates session. We also had a quieter middle section focused on mindfulness with decorating a pointe shoe - giving everyone the chance to slow down, breathe and be creative.

The first Dancer Wellness Experience took place in May, and seeing Atlanta already planning the next one after today has been pretty special.

A huge thank you to everyone who booked, attended and supported Atlanta and her idea. And a very special thank you to the @rotaryclubofgloucester for awarding the Dancer Wellness Experience a Community Grant back in June. Your support has helped Atlanta continue to develop something she is genuinely passionate about. 💗 Thank you also to @patchplaces for the amazing space which always receives such amazing feedback.

At just 16, seeing her take an idea, shape it into something that reflects what matters to her, bring people together and then think about how she can make the next one even better is something I’m incredibly proud of. Yes, it’s not all her, @mgill.80 and I support her with logistics and formalities etc but in time, she’ll step up and take on these aspects too.

And yes… there will be a next one. 👀 Go follow the Dancer Wellness Experience and keep up with what Atlanta is planning. @kiwi.kisses._ her other business has supported aspects of both events too!

I haven’t had anything done to my hair for ages!

When Covid hit, I decided to embrace the grey! But my natural colour had become quite a mix - very white/grey through the top, while the underneath and back was still much darker, leaving me with a very salt-and-pepper look.

I had a consultation with @emiliacoxhair at @house_of_envy_longford back in July, and honestly, seeing her excitement that my colour was completely natural immediately made me feel like I was in safe hands.

So this morning I arrived for my grey blending appointment feeling a little nervous… but also VERY excited!

Nearly 4 hours later and… I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! 😍

Emilia has somehow blended everything together while keeping the grey that I’ve embraced, and I couldn’t be happier with the result.

A huge thank you to Emilia for making me feel so comfortable and for creating exactly what I hoped for. Highly recommend Emilia for anyone looking for a hair stylist!

And a special thank you to House of Envy for being so accommodating and allowing me to bring Jenson along with me today. Clearwater Beach 2026

After the chaos, excitement and non-stop days at Disney, we intentionally booked 5 days in Clearwater to do absolutely nothing… and it was exactly what we needed.

And it did not disappoint!

We spent most of our time in the sea or on the beach, ate lots of yummy food, did a little shopping and, of course, watched A LOT of sunsets. We definitely didn’t get bored of them!

Our first afternoon brought a tropical storm for a few hours. This actually worked in our favour as after an early start at Animal Kingdom, followed by the nearly 2-hour drive to Clearwater, it forced us to stop, slow down and recharge.

We were actually in the sea when we spotted dolphins swimming in the distance. No photo, no video, just one of those magical little moments we all got to experience together.

Clearwater gave us exactly what we hoped for, slow mornings, sandy toes, salty hair, sunsets, good food and time together. Now back home to jet lag, lots of washing and a more manageable humidity!

Day 8 | Epcot

A slow start this morning before heading to my favourite Disney park… Epcot!

This was the park that stuck in my memory from our trip 20 years ago, so being able to come back and experience it again, this time as a family, felt pretty special.

We’d planned to do a few hours, head back to the hotel and return for the fireworks… but we ended up just staying til closing!

We packed SO much into the day! We all loved Soarin’ and Frozen Ever After, explored the different countries and sampled food from around the world.

Mart and Jenson even tucked into a turkey leg… and seriously, WHAT DO THEY FEED THE TURKEYS OVER HERE?! That thing was HUGE!

Atlanta bought an Epcot passport and had it signed in different languages as we travelled around the countries, such a lovely little keepsake from the day.

It was another ridiculously hot and humid Florida day, with some thunder and lightning thrown in… although thankfully no rain!

And then the fireworks…

WOW.

I honestly don’t know why, but they made me emotional. Maybe it was the nostalgia, maybe it was being there with my family, maybe just the sheer magic of the moment… but standing there watching them was one of those moments I know I’ll remember forever. Particularly hearing Jenson say “that was amazing, im never seeing fireworks as good as that again!”

Day 7 | One whole week stateside! 🇺🇸

One whole week in Florida already… and what a day to celebrate!

Today was GCSE results day and we couldn’t be prouder of Atlanta. She passed all the exams she took this summer, adding to the qualifications she sat last year, meaning she’s officially been able to enrol at her chosen college @jdf_performingartscollege!

We celebrated with an @ihop breakfast before heading to @walmart so the kids (mainly Jenson 😂) could buy ALL the things he’s seen on YouTube!

A chilled afternoon at the hotel followed, I managed a rare nap while Atlanta headed to the pool with some dance friends.

Then off to Disney Springs for the evening! We looked in some shops, visited the Coca-Cola Store and tried coca-cola from around the world before heading to @cirquedusoleil.drawntolife @cirquedusoleil.drawntolife.

WOW. What a show! We’d never seen Cirque du Soleil before and were completely blown away. Drawn to Life follows a young girl who discovers her late father’s unfinished animation and is transported into a magical world where Disney animation and live circus artistry come together. The talent was incredible, we were all completely in awe!

Even better, we got to spend the evening with our lovely friends @helenwhitneyvocalist, Pete and @ronniestedmandance - especially special as it was Helen’s birthday! 🎂

We finished the night with some food before hopping on the shuttle back to the hotel… our latest night of the holiday so far!

A day of celebrations, Disney magic, incredible talent, friends and memories.

Day 6 | Epcot & the MISI Gala

A much-needed hotel chill day before heading to Epcot for the @moveitshakeit Gala… and WOW WOW WOW! 🤩

It completely exceeded our expectations. What a special evening for all the dancers and their families. The energy in that room was infectious, even Jenson joined in some of the dance circles, I got involved, and Mart somehow ended up doing a leg hold with @randypaulthomas and Pete @helenwhitneyvocalist! They definitely deserve to win the MISI Leg Hold Challenge! 😂

The whole evening was filled with laughter, dancing, challenges, new friendships, old friendships growing stronger, fun and memories that will genuinely last a lifetime.

We are SO grateful we got to experience this together as a family, and even more grateful that Atlanta has made so many wonderful friends and memories along the way.

We left the gala a little early to squeeze in Ratatouille before the storm rolled in… and WOW did it roll in!

We’d planned to stay for the fireworks, but with the weather delaying them, we decided to head for the bus. The heaviest rain and loudest thunder we’ve experienced all week! The rain was actually quite refreshing!

Soaked, exhausted, ridiculously happy and very grateful.

Day 6 = another one for the memory bank.

Day 5 | Performance Day! ✨🇺🇸💃🏼

Early start for Atlanta and final rehearsal before we headed to Hollywood Studios for a few rides… although I swear it was hotter than the sun today! 🥵🔥 So much concrete, so little shade - I have NEVER sweated so much!

We squeezed in a few rides, Indiana Jones stunt show, Beauty & the Beast (which was extra exciting knowing this was the stage Atlanta would perform on later!), spot of colouring with Joy from inside out, food and then back to the hotel to freshen up.

Then it was SHOWTIME! ✨

The @moveitshakeit 45ers opened the evening with the most spectacular performance. 45 dancers, all auditioned from different dance schools, coming together to create something SO incredible. We were bursting with pride watching @atlanta.mae_ perform and so grateful she was given this opportunity.

Then came the dance schools - WOW! Atlanta was lucky enough to perform with the wonderful @rldcdance ego invited her to join them for this event. We then got to watch new dance school @mfc.studios.uk

Their lyrical into commercial piece was AMAZING! SO excited for her next chapter with them.

Ending the day emotionally proud, incredibly grateful, ridiculously sweaty and exhausted… but with the fullest heart.

Well done to every performer and a huge thank you to Jazz and her team for an incredible evening!

Day 4 | Magic Kingdom

Florida Day 4 and today was all about Magic Kingdom! 🏰

We had a slower morning at the hotel while Atlanta had a dance rehearsal, before heading out this afternoon.

Magic Kingdom was our first choice partly because of how similar it is to Disneyland Paris, somewhere Jenson knows and is familiar with, but that didn’t stop the anxiety beforehand. He really didn’t want to go and was constantly asking, “How long are we going to be?”

But this mumma knows him well… because once we actually got through those gates, he didn’t want to leave!

Disney’s accessibility support has been a complete game changer for us. Being able to book a return time for rides meant we could step away from the long, hot, noisy and crowded queues and spend that time somewhere much cooler and calmer before joining the Lightning Lane. For Jenson, that made the whole experience so much more manageable and meant he could actually enjoy the rides rather than spending his energy coping with the queue.

We also hired a wheelchair for him. He’s too big for a Disney stroller now, but with his hypermobility and reactive arthritis, there was absolutely no way he’d have managed to walk around the whole park without it. And honestly, seeing him being able to enjoy the park rather than worrying about how far he had to walk was worth every penny. ❤️

We experienced the craziest storm, wind that seemed to come from nowhere, thunder like I’ve never heard before,lightening that wowed and before we knew it, it was dry, like it had never rained and we were back to sweating buckets again!

We didn’t stay for the fireworks tonight because Atlanta is up bright and early tomorrow…

IT’S PERFORMANCE DAY!

Day 3

Checked out of 1 hotel and into the next. This hotel is where all the @moveitshakeit dancers are staying! We then headed to Typhoon Lagoon where we had an awesome day with @helenwhitneyvocalist, @ronniestedmandance, Pete, Kristen and Amelia. Atlanta bumped into some @rldcdance girls she’s dancing with and some other Move It Shake It dancers.

The wave machine was something else. The cocktails were yum and the company was fab! Grateful@for such wonderful friends!

Day 2 Florida - how is it only day 2!!!

Another 6am wake, meant for a great early start at @bikesandbladesco for bike rental, again inspired by @katie_ellison! This was incredible! So glad we did it! We cycled 10 miles in total stopped at Winter Gardens for some drinks and donuts! Not gonna lie, mini man struggled with the heat! And we had big disregulation! 😭 Had to make the cycle back a bit of a game! Saw a wild tortoise cycling back, did you spot it in the reel!

Back to hotel for time by the pool, that was after we devoured our Crumbl Cookies from last night! Cinnamon bun was my fav!!

Saw there was a Space X launch at cape Canaveral and we jumped at the chance to hire a car and go watch from Cocoa Beach but mini man could not cope with such short notice change in plan 😞

We then got a @waymo out to dinner at Applebee’s, a fav of ours from our time in Canada. Driverless car, weird, fun, insane and awesome all into one!

Ended the day with a trip to a Super @target so kids could do some shopping.

Florida day 1 and it feels like it’s been a whole weekend! We all woke at 6am so headed for hotel brekkie which included make your own Disney Waffles! Win!

The slushies some slushies and sweets from 7 Eleven, another tick off Jenson’s American bucket list!

Quick uber to Universal City Wall before the crowds!

We were too early for the @chocolateemporiumorlando 😞

Then we headed to @iconparkorlando for some @ripleyscrazy golf! We were the only ones in there, it was air con and the most fun crazy golf we’ve ever done! Inspired by @katie_ellison orlando vlogs!

Stopped at Shake Shake for lunch before getting the iride trolley (bus) back to the hotel for some fun in the pool! It rained whilst we were at the pool but the kids loved it.

We saw some alligators being fed on the way to the iride trolley which we got to head to Vineland premium outlet before heading to Vineland Pointe for some dinner at @modpizza, a bit of shopping in Disney Gifts then a final stop at @crumbl for some cookies! Fun facts, our rabbits are called Crumbl and Cookie!

We then headed back to the hotel for so much deserved sleep!
