‘Drown Me’ is out now. Artwork by the talented @karnifiilex_ Recorded in @blackmountainstudios last year. A huge thank you to @jamesluck.ie for recording and mixing the track, he kicked it out of the park with this. Mastered by the great @ivanjackmanmastering This was written 2 weeks before our booked studio time and we liked it so much we squeezed it in and we’re really happy we did. It’s a fun track and I think making a summer song centred around water is some sort of Freudian Irish slip and fairly funny. Anyway, thank you all for the support over the last year and we’re looking forward to what may be coming up. Lots of love, Lapdog x 💛❤️💙 #lapdogband #irishmusic #altrock #alternativerock by @lapdog_band

2 years of Lapdog, 1 million more years of Lapdog carry on! For our debut-iversary we said we’d share a look at an unreleased song, James Joyce Novels, that we played at Gig in a Gaff a few months back. Video on YouTube and song on SoundCloud at midnight, have a look, have a listen. Thanks to the lads at @giginagaff for sharing the footage and the mixing, so appreciated. Much love, - Lapdog 💛💙❤️ #lapdogband #crypto #irishband #mybestmarkesmithimpression taken in From Someone's Kitchen by @lapdog_band

This Body (Is Not Mine), our 2nd single, is officially out! The very cool artwork by our incredible bassist Aaliyah 💙 We recorded this at the illustrious @blackmountainstudios mixed by the handsome @jamesluck.ie & mastered by the incredible @ivanjackmanmastering Some backstory: Aaliyah and I (Jack) have been playing this song for about 2.5 years, I have voice notes somewhere of trying to figure it out (I’ll hunt that down and include it) When Blaine joined us, we thought he might be going to hard on the kit but he has carved out his own sound on this track, he is still going hard as. We’ve carried this song through 3 groups, with various line ups seeing and playing it with us. In that time I think we tried so many variations of the track, synths, programmed drums and I tried a piano with it once I think? (It sounded bad) We’d be here forever thanking everyone, but we’ve played this song with and to so so SO many people in that time and it and it feels incredible to have it out in world. Hope you enjoy and show your ma! Sincerity over. Lots of love, - Lapdog x 💛💙❤️ #alternativerock #altrock #irishmusic #irishmusician by @lapdog_band

Introducing ALLCAP × LAPDOG. Over the last few weeks we’ve been working on a brand new merch line for Lapdog — and the time is finally here. A collection built from creativity, design, and a love of music. For this campaign, we wanted the photos to capture where all good ideas begin: in the spaces where people create and experiment together. We built a room that reflects a creative world — a place layered with sound, colour, instruments, and personality. Every creative project starts in a room like this, and we wanted our campaign to honour that process: the early ideas, the shared vision, and the collaboration that drives everything forward. Come check out the collection this Saturday at Taole’s Bar, Dundalk, where the merch will be on sale — and get a chance to hear Lapdog’s new single “Julie.” Photography — @all.cap_ Design — @lapdog_band x @all.cap_ Merch production — @all.cap_ by @lapdog_band
