Well, this is fun. Lapland Lake has been nominated for USA TODAY 10Best Readers' Choice: Best Cross-Country Ski Resort!

Let's be honest, it's a popularity contest. So here's our totally reasonable, not-at-all-desperate campaign plan:

1. We're asking all our employees, family members and guests to set an alarm for 6 a.m. every day. Vote. Go back to sleep. (Or whenever)
2. Tell your coworkers the coffee pot stays empty until they vote. (Or don't)
3. Let the kids and grandkids know the will is being "reviewed" until you see who votes the most. ( OK..?)
4. Vote once a day, every day. Put a reminder on your phone, your fridge and your forehead. (Definitely, this)

Now it's your turn: what's your most over-the-top way to get people voting for us? Drop it in the comments, and we'll share our favorites in our Stories with some Lapland Lake photos.

Voting runs until Nov 9. Link in bio.

In all seriousness, we're truly humbled to be in the company of so many great ski areas, and it won't hurt our feelings if you vote for one of them. But imagine the bragging rights if little Lapland Lake won!

Two years ago today, we ran the first water trials on our snowmaking gear. ❄️

A month later we were making snow, and it's been a big help stretching our seasons ever since: 114 ski days in 2024–25 and 116 last winter.

Here's to season three.

Silly little video of the Yeti doing work! We love this little truck.

Skiers - we threw in a sneak peek at the end of something we’ve been working on. See if you notice what’s different. 👀 by @laplandlake

Some trail work calls for bigger tools.

We’re always working to improve the trails at Lapland Lake. Before long, we’ll be getting the snowguns ready.

Who else is already thinking about ski season?
