This is part of my becoming a photographer origin story. I hope to be just as supportive of a parent as my mom and dad were for me. I’m very grateful to have had them in my life. Much of who I am today is because they are no longer here (figuring things out on my own), but so much is because of the time I did have with them. by @larakimmerer

Truly taking in these last moments at my lake. I finally (finally) had a moment to take a look at two publications my photographs were featured in this summer.

Thank you to @jennatalbott and @nehomemagazine for the feature of @pbfhomes own Pam Forman’s home. Styling by @raemccalmont of PBF Homes.

Thank you to Nancy Berry and @northshorehomemag for featuring @suzanneschultzedesign ‘s beautiful Essex project. by @larakimmerer

Entry to the Pool House / Guest House. The intent was that this entry be warm, inviting, but also practical. Cabinetry accommodates the snacks, towels, and sunscreen, while also concealing the stackable washer/dryer (for pool towels and for guest laundry). I love how sunlight spills down the stairs in this space.

Congratulations to Isabel Stover of Design vision Interiors for her feature in Northshore Home Magazine.

The owners (the second ever) entrusted Isabel with the task of creating updates that blend into this mid-century modern home—designed by architect Martin Bloom for his sister, and built in 1957.

With cozier weather comes fun times in the kitchen baking, which is in fact, my upcoming weekend plans with Arden.

Isn’t this kitchen lovely? This one is on my dream kitchen list. The pantry is so wonderful.

Staging with soul. There are two different approaches to staging:
1. Fill the space with furniture, cut and paste, every property looks the same.
2. (The PBF Homes way) Intentionally designed spaces custom to each property. We specialize in staging listings that are exceptional. Where one size fits all staging falls flat and the potential buyer is savvy enough to see and feel the difference.

Pattern play, done right. In this sun-drenched living room, we let the prints do the talking.

The secret to mixing prints? Vary the scale, keep the palette tight, and let plenty of natural light and crisp millwork give everything room to breathe. by @larakimmerer
