Fourth draft ... Writing full time made this possible ... and working through the odd background headache, wolfing down unsafe amounts of take-out food, giving up a little reading / TV time, fewer long lazy friend calls... that was the worst. But, I did it! So now what? Rest? Not in your life. I love this story too much, and I love getting up every day, pretending I'm a second wave feminist, living in the 60's. I'll set this draft aside for exactly two days, because I'm forcing myself to, then ... I'll be getting it ready for beta readers. And while they have it, I'll be ripping through this thing for a fifth time, double checking my research, adding a few immersive details, and finishing those bell-bottom jeans I started sewing a month into my first draft ... way back in February. Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, Mount Hope, ON. (Hamilton Area) Author research is one of the best parts of the writing process. And getting to actually touch my fave aircraft ... the Avro Lancaster ... heaven! I played in one of these when I was a child. Flew it daily! It waa retired after an RCAF search and rescue career on the east coast. I was so grateful to have a million and one questions answered by my knowledable host. Thank you Erin for being my guide on this amazing tour. (You definitely have a character name-sake in my newest book!) The museum is lucky to have you. There are so many aircrafts on display. And the communications/ radio room entrigued both my hubby and myself. The Fly Zone flight simulators were facinating! So realistic! You really should check this historical gem out!
