Weโ€™re doing it again. ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

After such a special week in Morocco last March, I knew I wanted to create this experience again. Soโ€ฆ here we are. โœจ

From March 13-19, 2027, Iโ€™m taking a small group back to Imsouane for another week of yoga, surf, sunshine and slowing down.

Think: a beautiful villa by the ocean, daily yoga, surf sessions for all levels, nourishing meals, exploring Essaouira, long lunches, golden sunsets and plenty of time to simply enjoy the moment.

A week to step away from everyday life and reconnect with yourself, the ocean and everything that makes you feel alive.

โœจ The first 4 bookings get โ‚ฌ100 off
๐Ÿ’› Bring a friend and you both get โ‚ฌ100 off

All the details + booking are now live via the link in my bio.

And if youโ€™re curious, have questions, or just want to chat about it - my DMs are always open. ๐Ÿฅฐ

Iโ€™m so excited to do this again.

The waves will come. But you donโ€™t have to be swept away. ๐ŸŒŠ

One of the most beautiful teachings in yoga is that we donโ€™t have to believe, follow, or react to every thought that crosses our mind.

In Yoga Sutra 1.2, Patanjali describes yoga as โ€œthe stilling of the fluctuations of the mind.โ€

Not forcing the mind to be quiet. Not trying to stop every thought. But learning to observe, to soften our grip, and to find stillness beneath the movement.

Just like the ocean, the mind will always have its waves. The practice is learning not to become every wave that comes along.

Iโ€™ve written more about this sutra and its meaning in my latest Substack article.

โœจ Comment YOGA and Iโ€™ll send you the link to read more.

Save this as a little reminder for the days when your mind feels like the ocean during a storm. ๐Ÿค

Because you guys loved the first oneโ€ฆ hereโ€™s part 2 of my favourite Savasana songs ๐Ÿค๐ŸŽง

I get asked all the time what songs I play during the last few minutes of class, so Iโ€™m sharing a few more of my favourites with you!

These are the songs I keep coming back to when I want to create that calm, peaceful Savasana feeling at the end of class. ๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

And so it begins: Sutra Sunday. ๐Ÿ“ฟ

Iโ€™m starting a new series exploring the Yoga Sutras โ€” one Sutra at a time, and what these ancient teachings can teach us about living today.

Weโ€™re starting with Sutra 1.1: Atha yogaฬ„nusฬaฬ„sanam.

What does atha actually mean?
And why does Patanjali begin the Yoga Sutras with โ€œnowโ€?

Iโ€™ve explored these questions in my first Substack article, along with a little reflection on what this first Sutra might mean for us today.

Comment โ€œSUTRAโ€ and Iโ€™ll send you the full article. ๐Ÿค

See you next Sunday for 1.2 ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ by @laravanoerle

Want your splits? Hereโ€™s what Iโ€™d work on ๐Ÿ‘‡

Your splits need more than just flexible hamstrings.

Move between both positions to work the hip flexors + hamstrings through movement.

Donโ€™t forget the back leg! This targets the hip flexors and quads.

With the back knee lifted, move forward + back to actively explore your range.

Work on controlling the range youโ€™re trying to gain, rather than just sinking into it.

Then gradually work towards your full split ๐Ÿค

You donโ€™t need to force the deepest version. Consistency > intensity.

Save this for your next splits session ๐Ÿซถ
Come back to it consistently, and youโ€™ll get closer to your splits every time โœจ by @laravanoerle

Spending long hours at a desk, looking down at your phone, or sitting hunched over can gradually pull your shoulders forward and create tension through your neck, chest, and upper back.

If this sounds familiar, try these 5 yoga poses โœจ

Inhale, lift your chest and tailbone. Exhale, round your spine and draw your chin toward your chest.

From Childโ€™s Pose, flow forward through your hands and gently open your chest into Upward-Facing Dog. Move back to Childโ€™s Pose and repeat.

From Childโ€™s Pose, reach one arm underneath the other and rest your shoulder and cheek down.

From all fours, walk your hands forward while keeping your hips above your knees. Melt your chest toward the floor and reach through your arms.

Place your forearms on the mat. Lift your chest gently while keeping your shoulders away from your ears. Take gentle neck rolls.

Save this for your next practice & send it to someone who spends a little too much time at a desk or on their phone. ๐Ÿซถ by @laravanoerle

We spend so much of our lives doing, chasing, planning and trying to keep up.

But what happens when you stop?

When you take a moment to simply breathe, be still and existโ€ฆ You might notice a deeper sense of connection: with yourself, with your surroundings, and with something greater than you. ๐Ÿค by @laravanoerle

Feeling tension in your hips? This one is for you. ๐Ÿ’›

Our hips can often be an area where we hold physical tension, stress and emotional discomfort. Taking time to gently open the hips can help you reconnect with your body and create a little more space, both physically and mentally.

Here are 5 of my favourite hip openers to move through whenever your body needs a little release:

A gentle way to start. Bring your knees wide, sink your hips back towards your heels and allow your upper body to soften.

A deeper opener for the outer hip and glutes. Keep this one gentle and support your hip with a cushion or block if needed.

Extend one leg and bring the sole of the opposite foot towards your inner thigh. Fold forward over the extended leg, keeping the spine long.

Take your legs wide and slowly fold forward from the hips. Find a position where you can relax and let gravity gently do the work.

Lie back, bring the soles of your feet together and let your knees gently fall open. Support your knees with cushions if needed. Close your eyes, slow down your breath and allow your whole body to soften. ๐Ÿค

โœจ Remember: hip opening isnโ€™t about pushing deeper. Itโ€™s about listening to your body, breathing into the sensations and creating space without forcing. by @laravanoerle
