The year I said yes to opportunities that used to feel like a far off dream. Sharing some of the highs, but there were plenty of lows to match. I’m thankful that I’m loving the path I’m on enough to keep wanting more.

One thing I’m changing this year is how often I show up online. I want to share more of what I do and what goes into my weeks - let’s see if I can finally shake my overthinking and crippling perfectionism 🙃

I’m excited to keep building and ready to unlock level 2026! 🚀

The last couple of months have tested me on a lot of levels. Late nights that turn into early mornings in front of a screen, managing expectations as a ‘yes girl’, trusting others to take on projects on behalf of Riss, and jumping on a plane every second week for shoots. Things are moving fast, and I feel like I’m treading water a lot of the time.

But the chaos is balanced with some incredible moments. Moments that make me question how the hell I got here and where else this camera will take me. If you’re working towards something that feels big and messy, keep moving 💫

Special thanks to @olivermunoz from @_uncommonstudio_ who trusted me with a vision and made this experience possible. Our @offfest aftermovie is loading…⏳👀

The fact that we’re already two months into 2025 is wild 😳 Have things been a little chaotic? Yes. Have I been throwing myself into the deep end more than ever? Yep, and it’s uncomfortable. But with every new connection or experience comes a new opportunity, and that’s one of the most exciting things about running a business.

I can’t believe this year will mark two years of running RISS full time. It’s still the scariest and most rewarding thing I’ve ever done and I’m beyond grateful to those who choose to work with me. Here’s to a year full of creativity and growth!

@blakejacksontm drew me a picture in grade two which I rejected at the time. Little did I know he’d whip it out on our wedding day over 20 years later so that I could change my mind and keep it. The drawing is now laminated and hanging in our house. Life is wild 🤍
