POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This series for @letsdwellau is a look at the work behind the work; the moving, adjusting, testing and resetting that happens before a few seconds ever make it into the final cut.
Setting the scene. Shifting furniture. Chasing the right light. Moving something back, then forward again.

A lot of it is the kind of work most people will never see. But it’s where the care sits.

We wanted the final films to feel quiet, familiar and lived in. Getting there meant showing love to the parts others might walk past.

Earlier this year, @comma_projects and I caught up to talk about the design process behind @zoei_bycomma . We talked about the benefits of a clearly defined brief, the collaborative nature of sketching and the importance of good communication. For now, here is a beautiful highlight reel created by @rissvisualstudio that perfectly captured the dissolving of boundaries between inside and outside.

If you’re thinking about your home - even if it’s just a feeling right now - I’d love to hear your story. Link in bio taken in Palm Beach Gold Coast by @rissvisualstudio

Lots to love! Thanks to those who stepped in front of my camera last year and let down some walls🫶🏼

The year I said yes to opportunities that used to feel like a far off dream. Sharing some of the highs, but there were plenty of lows to match. I’m thankful that I’m loving the path I’m on enough to keep wanting more.

One thing I’m changing this year is how often I show up online. I want to share more of what I do and what goes into my weeks - let’s see if I can finally shake my overthinking and crippling perfectionism 🙃

I’m excited to keep building and ready to unlock level 2026! 🚀

We flew halfway across the world (from Melbourne to Mérida) to chase a feeling.
Not just the warmth, the food, or the chaos (though we happily embraced all of it).

Before diving into the work, we made a stop in Mexico City, soaking in the energy, connecting with friends, and catching inspiration at @offf_mx

Then it was on to Mérida, where we came to capture the spirit behind @paradisofest_ , a creative playground where design, creativity and culture collide under the Yucatán sun.

It’s hard to capture all of this in words, so here’s a recap that beautifully encompasses it all.

Encounters in LA✨
I was taking photos along Broadway Street when @icemontgomery stopped me to ask if I could take his portrait. His energy was so refreshing. I’d been wanting to photograph a few people who passed me that day, but I was too shy to introduce myself and ask. Thanks for stepping in front of my lens, @icemontgomery, appreciate you!

The last couple of months have tested me on a lot of levels. Late nights that turn into early mornings in front of a screen, managing expectations as a ‘yes girl’, trusting others to take on projects on behalf of Riss, and jumping on a plane every second week for shoots. Things are moving fast, and I feel like I’m treading water a lot of the time.

But the chaos is balanced with some incredible moments. Moments that make me question how the hell I got here and where else this camera will take me. If you’re working towards something that feels big and messy, keep moving 💫

Just got back from Mérida, México, and still buzzing.

We teamed up with the brilliant minds at @paradisofest_ and @thinkparadiso for four days of pure creative flow: design sessions, fireside chats and content creation for their new site (lots of it!).

Before we show you what’s next, here’s a moment to honour the creative minds behind it all.

Stay tuned. The best is yet to come. taken in Mérida, Yucatán, México. by @rissvisualstudio

A few of my favourite images snapped for @_uncommonstudio_ during our time at @offfest in Barcelona earlier this year. Little did I know we’d be heading back to the conference again in the same year, but this time, in Mexico City. @offf_mx, we’re ready for you! This life is wild 🧡

A lil update! Lots of creating, events, flights and late nights. Does anyone else feel like year is going by way too fast? 🙃
