I got a new coffee machine. I know how I’ll be starting my mornings now. Amped to try the quality of the drip, they say it’s pour over quality. Now I need to get some beans to try it out. I’ll make a drip at home and have a pour over in the shop I choose. #unboxing #bestpartofwakingup

Here’s my current San Diego coffee shop rotation. I’ve been sticking with these spots lately, some more than others, but each one has something that keeps me coming back.

If you’ve been keeping up with my posts, you already know I’m into coffee. Now it’s finally time to start making espresso at home.

This is my first espresso machine, so if you have a Flair, drop your tips in the comments. I’m thinking about sharing the whole learning process, but I’m not sure if that’s something you’d want to see. Maybe I keep it to Stories, or maybe I start posting longer videos on YouTube.

A week at the @thelafayette in San Diego gave us something to do every single day, but I think the pool had the most to do with that. Our room was poolside, so we’d wake up and head straight to the pool before coffee or breakfast.

Nothing beats a summer pool day at The Lafayette Hotel & Club. Next time we’ll be doing a staycation, but even a day here feels like a mini vacation. Lately we’ve been trying to live every day with a little bit of that vacation energy, finding the spots around San Diego that make you slow down and enjoy where you are.

Where should we check out next in San Diego? We’re also planning a trip to Long Beach and LA soon, so drop your favorite spots up there too. Always looking to add a few more gems to the list by @laronlindsay
