Words cannot express how thrilled I am to be returning to DC United, my childhood club. I’m honored to be back with the club I grew up supporting and the academy that played such a crucial role in my youth development!

At times during my career and my repeated injuries, I wondered when it would all start to make sense. I will be helping a group of boys who are going through the same experiences I embraced and cherish to this day. This is all tying things together in a full circle way that feels humbling, surreal and rather cinematic!

I am grateful for this new role and I cannot wait to get after it with this group of hungry young ballers from the DMV!

Thank you GOD! 🙏🏼 by @larseckenrode

THANK YOU OMAHA 💚🖤

It was an honor to work with this group of players. A truly special group of men who I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to compete and train alongside.

It was painful to leave you boys, but as you know, sometimes in football there are opportunities that come along that are impossible to pass up on.

Wishing the squad all the best the remainder of the season! I can’t wait to keep up with you all and see the special things you guys will accomplish! 🙏🏼

Looking forward to the next chapter!! 🖤❤️ by @larseckenrode

Grateful for every moment, lesson, and relationship from my time with Atlanta United.

To the staff, coaches, and people behind the scenes: thank you for the opportunity, your trust, and the standard of a daily commitment to excellence. It’s been a privilege to work alongside you.

To the players: this was always about YOU. I’m proud of the work we did together, and even though I won’t be at the club anymore, know this - I’ll always be here for you, on and off the field.

Wishing the club continued success moving forward. Thank you for everything!

❤️🖤

Some bonds are eternal, not because of blood, but because of choice - I am so thankful for my best friends who are truly family to me.

Regardless how much time we get to spend together these days, we ALWAYS pick right back up where we left off. This past week has filled we with love, joy and gratitude.

Extremely proud to be Godfather of Brooklyn Louro and uncle to Benson Louro and Kayden Gonzalez! 💙

Thank you God! 🙏🏼 by @larseckenrode

What a privilege it was to have friend & former teammate @larseckenrode former player for @torontofc & @tormenta_fc who is currently apart of Atlanta United U18 Staff visit us today. Lars Grew up in the Springfield, VA area and played in the dmv like many of these players he had a dream and he was able to make it! Some of the information he shared with our players was remarkable. Thank you so much @larseckenrode 🔥🔥🔥

Being on the field with these boys reminds me what this journey is all about. The road requires uncommon sacrifice, and the dream is never guaranteed - but none of them walk it alone.

My role is to push, guide, and help bring out their best. That’s what fuels the work - and I’m grateful every day for the chance to be part of it.
