✩ wowie wow wow thank you SO much to all the people that came out & tried my food on Monday!!! Y’all were so kind + really it felt like a dream come true!! 🥺

✩ lasychef x @barrollins x @katie.ch3a @ravesalon_ x @chylioil

✩ I dreamt up this vibrant love menu & it feels so intimate to share my recipes/food I care about. Each item is purely me: my love for colors, and eating with your eyes, and incorporating food + identity, and love for local + seasonal produce (some that I have grown and some from other farms of the lowcountry)! These are also just some of my favorite flavors, so it’s so meaningful to hear that y’all enjoyed them too!

✩ tbh I have zero experience in a “proper” kitchen. Have never worked back of house. Have never gone to culinary school. My “chef training” comes from cooking with my dad, YouTube academy, being friends @al3jan.dra , and honestly just dreaming up food menus while I work on the farm or walk around grocery stores! So getting to have done a pop up & selling out of some items & overall just feel like a success is soooo validating!

✩ 100% could not have done it without my support system - y’all really out here believing in me + trusting me + working WITH me! I would’ve freaked out without y’all… im the luckiest duck in the pond!!!

✩ more photos to come!!! And can’t wait to feed and love with y’all again soon!!!

Ok I’m done being tender and gushy, here are some photos including my mise en place, the first time I saw my menu, and lots of food photos + friends !!! by @lasychef

This soup means a lot to me 🥹 so I brought it into the sunlight to celebrate it and eat it outside (despite the heat).

Made for sick friends and inspired by a dear friend I’m missing. Made with bell pepper leaves and moringa leaves, both plants gifted to me by people I hold in community. Jujube dates were gifted my auntie (not by blood but you know).

This soup embodies my connections. It’s Tinola (a Filipino soup) but with my own twists inspired by people that I love. Pigeon peas. Ripe papaya. Feeling tender, feeling dramatic, but also feeling just so happy with this soup nourishment - so I had to type out why :) by @lasychef
