Homemade Veggie Bouillon! 👩‍🍳👩🏽‍🍳

Bouillon is one of those ingredients that if you don't read the label (or don't have your readers on in the store) can sneak alot of gross stuff and ALOT of sodium into your otherwise healthy soups. Although making broth is super easy, it isn't the most efficient and practical for our kitchen when making 100+ servings..

So, what did our creative chefs do? Made their own Bouillon!

Hopefully, our clients will feel the extra love that will go into our winter soups in the next few weeks! 🥶 🍲 ❤️

Yesterday, we raised $6,420 for @wrenetwork. A non-profit advocating for women’s rights in the state of South Carolina. We laughed, we cried, we hugged, we drank really good wine. We talked about the real stuff, the hard stuff, and created a safe space for activism & healing. For moments when you feel at a loss or disconnected from bills being passed that strip your rights overnight, it’s a really frightening & helpless feeling. These donations are going straight to the folks who are fighting the good fight for all of us here in the state of SC!

I can’t begin to say how grateful I am for every chef, every vendor, every volunteer,and every single community member that showed up in the tiny alleyway yesterday. Thank you a million times over.

Saturday 6/10 (TOMORROW!) we are hosting a bake sale benefitting @wrenetwork in the alley of the tiny bakeshop.

TIME: 12-3PM
LOCATION: 682 KING STREET

Some of your most favorite hospitality folks will be participating as well as providing a safe place for advocacy, conversation, and community. Last year, we raised over $10,000 for WREN & this year our goal is to double that.

We hear there will be beignets, comete spring onion biscuits, brown butter & pecan chocolate chip cookies, bibingka, wine, flower bouquets, art and more.

Our Summer Session kicks off on June 14th!

We have availability in our 1:30-4 pm shift on Wednesdays or Thursdays every other week for both Teen Chefs and adult Mentors (everyone cooks and everyone learns!) We also have a weekly sign up shift for Wednesdays.
