Some partnerships just make sense. 💜We’re so happy to welcome Lathing as a new partner and sponsor of Boteco das Moças - LATINA ENERGY! 💛 Lathing is a free, community-led platform dedicated to amplifying Latin American art, music and events across Australia - shining a light on the artists and culture shakers building something different. The zines. The vinyl curations. The collectives. The underground shows. The theatre. The films. The unexpected events. The things being created by the people who are actually shaping the culture. And that’s exactly why having Lathing alongside us for this edition feels so right. Boteco das Moças has always been about more than putting on a show. As a Brazilian samba group formed by women in Australia, we created Boteco as a place to bring people together through our music, celebrate our roots and create more space for women and immigrant artists to be seen, heard and supported. With LATINA ENERGY, we’re opening that space even further - bringing different Latin American cultures, sounds, stories and artists into the same room. So we couldn’t be happier to have Lathing helping us make some noise for the people shaping Latin American culture in Australia. 💜 Go follow them and discover what’s happening around you: @lathing.au Created by @andrear_ar_ And come experience some of that energy with us at: BOTECO DAS MOÇAS - LATINA ENERGY 💛 Samba de Moça - @sambademoca.aus Brazilian samba group with a special new set. 💜 DJ Lady Chika - @lady__chika reggaeton, afrobeats & funk 💛 Tygua Electroroots - @tygua_electroroots Colombian folktronica & Afro-Colombian Caribbean rhythms 💜 Mariu Meneses - Afro-Latin dance & movement 📅 5 September ⏰ 5pm–11:30pm 📍 Blackwattle Brewery - Alexandria Get your ticket now - link in bio! #sydneyevents #latinculture #latinevents #samba #brazilian taken in Sydney, Australia by @lathing.au

ONE MONTH LATER 🇨🇴 OUR GRANITO DE ARENA CONTINUES. One month ago, Colombia was hit by a devastating earthquake. Today, we’re sharing the impact of Spin for Colombia. Together, our community raised through donations, ticket contributions, coffee, art, raffles and the incredible support of local businesses and our community. We will be donated to the Colombian Red Cross to support earthquake relief and recovery efforts in Colombia. In addition, @gloz.design and @hang.it.up raised funds that they will donate directly to other foundations supporting Colombia ❤️ And to all the brands who donated raffle prizes, thanks. Those prizes were given back to our community on the day, helping make the fundraiser a true collective effort. To every business, DJ, musician, artist, food maker, volunteer, photographer, donor and everyone who showed up: GRACIAS 🇨🇴 This was our granito de arena: @mulecoffeeroasters @discotecatropical_ @otherlatinart @joyvaloyes Together, we made it count ❤️ 📸 @leidyphotograph 🫓 @cumbia.au 🫟 @colourfulfiestaco 💃🏻 @etniaviva.au 🍰 @pochitosydney #SpinForColombia #Sydney #ColombiaNeedsUs taken in Mule Coffee Roasters by @lathing.au
