OH WHAT A NIGHT ✨ Oh what an OUTFIT!

Me, interviewing THE Virginia Trioli? I mean, someone tell me I’m dreaming 💭

More to come about the fabulosity of what went down at M/FW Conversations Visible & Valued last night, but for now it’s all about the fits!

Have been threatened by the wonderful @melbfashionweek gals into getting some content back on the grid (after a luxurious break). With my style icon @vivienne9000 . Pink. Always. At the opening Ganbu Marra runway at @ngvmelbourne elevating indigenous Melbourne fashion. by @latrioli

Melbourne Town Hall, May 2016. The conversation of a lifetime with a feminist giant, an idol, a leader and intellectual whose impatient, urgent voice I have always held in my mind. Gloria Steinem closed our conversation saying that as women we’d been too nice, for too long.
I feel that dismay even more furiously now.
Rest, Gloria. You did mighty work here. #gloriasteinem ✨✨ by @latrioli

You eat a hole in it, you wear it.

And just like that, our Australian tour with Anna Funder comes to a close❤️

From the first conversation to the final applause, audiences across the country came together for evenings filled with big ideas, thoughtful questions and stories that stayed with us long after the lights went down.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, to our wonderful hosts who helped bring each evening to life, and of course, to Anna for sharing her stories, ideas and time with us.

It was a privilege to take these conversations on the road and share them with so many of you.

Just two gals about to go on stage at the Melbourne Town Hall, which the incredible @annafunderauthor had of course sold out. She’s been on a national tour talking about her peerless body of work, each piece of which has become a modern classic and internationally celebrated. Anna is that rare writer and intellectual: deeply moral, punctilious about fairness and accuracy, kind, transporting in her ability to take you to times and places, and she writes like an angel. Wifedom occupies a special place on my bookshelves; Stasiland is sui generis. We’ve been hanging out together from Adelaide to Melbourne, with excellent post-show conversations well into the night. Last night was Anna’s latest triumph and I was just happy just to hang onto the end of the kite. I’m sure you’ve read her work - if, not this is your sign to do so. Till next time, Anna! And thank you @thinkable_events #annafunder by @latrioli

Some evenings stay with you long after the lights go down.

Adelaide, thank you for filling the room with curiosity, thoughtful questions, and a shared love of powerful storytelling.

It was a privilege to host Anna Funder for an unforgettable conversation.

If you haven't joined us yet, there's still time.

“Cerulean Blue”. by @latrioli

Henri Matisse said that “it’s not enough to place colors, however beautiful, one beside the other; colors must also react on one another.” That’s the energy that drives the joyous colour theory of @justin_peck ‘s Copland Dance Episodes, which the @ausballet opened last night in Melbourne - and the piece has the kind of electricity that buzzes in your body even as a spectator.
The dancers are, as ever, strong, controlled, but also yielding, dressed in saturated sets of colours that set your nerves tingling in just the way Matisse would have wanted. The performance had a sense of purpose - the beauty and consolation found in connectedness - but above all a sheer sense of joy that made for such a happy night at the theatre. Grab tickets while you can, and if you can afford to - get some for the young aspiring dancers in your life: they will especially love it. Bravo, again, @officialdavidhallberg @regent_theatre by @latrioli
