#FotografaAULifestyle | It's about ME 🥰 In 2008 I made the decision to have a cochlear implant to improve my hearing 🦻🏻. This had a huge impact on my life. It added colour to my life 🌈 and gave me the confidence to travel and discover new countries and cultures, now I’m working on my passion (Photography). To those thinking of getting one; listen carefully to the stories of the experienced and weigh up the good and the bad. But personally - I say do it! It's changed my life for the better and I'm still amazed by how much it helps! 25th February is international cochlear implant day by the Spanish association of Cochlear Implants, with the first day being help in 2005. If you’ve been here for a while, I’d love to introduce myself again. And if we’ve just met, hi, I’m Lina.

I’m a Colombian artist living in Melbourne, and the person behind LinaMar.

I’ve painted since I was a child, but it took me until almost 30 to understand that being an artist could be a real possibility for my life. Something I could choose, invest in and build.

I’m learning to value what comes naturally to me: the colours, textures and shapes that make my work recognisably mine, along with my techniques, materials and style.

My work in diversity, inclusion and truth-telling is also shaping how I understand myself and the world. I’m still discovering how to bring those experiences into what I share here.

Today, I’m taking LinaMar seriously and giving myself room to imagine more: paintings, creative workshops, wearable art, accessible pieces and bigger collaborations.

With a new collection on the way, I wanted you to meet the person growing alongside the work.

Pinto desde niña, pero fue casi a los 30 cuando entendí que podía construir una vida como artista. Hoy confío más en mi estilo y hago crecer LinaMar con pinturas, talleres creativos y arte para vestir.

Mi trabajo en diversidad, inclusión y reconocimiento de la verdad histórica también influye en quién soy y en lo que creo.

Con una nueva colección en camino, quería presentarte a la persona que crece junto a su obra.

Every masterpiece starts behind the scenes.
No paint.
No perfect finish.
Just a dream, a vision, and a whole lot of hard work.
This is the beginning of our cyclorama, and I have to give credit where it’s due: my husband made this happen. From the planning and measurements to building every single panel, he poured so much time, patience, and skill into bringing this vision to life.
My role? I helped move things around, kept him company on countless trips to buy materials, and, of course... paid for them!
Watching an idea slowly become a real creative space has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.
We can’t wait to show you the finished transformation.

Today was such a beautiful experience photographing the stunning model Paola @Paoariasc12, founder of @lamour.au.
From the moment she stepped into the studio, her confidence, elegance, and authenticity made every frame come to life. It was more than just a photoshoot; it was about celebrating femininity, self-love, and the beauty that comes from embracing who you truly are.

Back in 2014, I was a very curious girl, always eager to learn. That was the day I realized I wanted to become a wedding photographer.
It all started thanks to my mentor, Luis Corona @inquadratura. I was completely amazed by his work, and I'll always be grateful that he allowed me to join him at one of his clients' weddings.

I remember I didn't really like this photo back then because all I could see were my insecurities. But today, I absolutely love it. It has become one of my favorite photos, not because of the image itself, but because of what it represents.

It reminds me of the day I decided to chase my dream: capturing love and preserving life's most beautiful moments forever. Back in 2014, I was a very curious girl, always eager to learn.
