I'm delighted to be playing Friday night with @autumns.dss and @kahnbristol who played one of the highlight sets at @openearfest 2025

I'll be playing chuggy and weird beforehand and banging and bassy after. You won't regret coming through for a bop trust me!

The Anois is Arís weekend opens with a live post-punk, electronic dub flourish 💥. Super excited to have Bristol’s Kahn - a fixture of UK soundsystem culture for over a decade - playing live electronics alongside Derry EBM / no-wave experimentalist Autumns. So hyped for this 🤗

Long-time AAA friend and Gash founder, and Galway legend-in-residence Lolz rounds out a high calibre lineup which we are really proud of ✌️

Comfortably colouring outside the lines, Kahn’s misfit take on soundsystem music refuses to play to conventions of any genre. Since his early output in the 2010s he’s injected dubstep, grime and more with a maverick streak driven by a powerful current of low-end pressure. Upholding the promise of modern bassweight club music as a vehicle for fiercely original expression, he cultivated a sound through formative years in Bristol that foregrounds auteurist flair inside and out of the dance.

As a solo artist, he initially broke through on seminal labels such as Punch Drunk, Black Box and Idle Hands before striking up a lasting relationship with Mala’s foundational Deep Medi Musik. In tandem, he partnered with long-time ally Neek, creating the buy-on-sight Bandulu Records label and garnering a feverish response to landmark curveballs like ‘Percy’ and ‘Backchat’. Throughout these formative years Kahn and his peers were dedicated to upholding the values of soundsystem culture; creating specials cut to dubplate, working with MCs like Flowdan and Sgt. Pokes and focusing on community over careerism to nurture their own corner of the culture. As a founding member of Young Echo, he sought to coalesce a crew of kindred outliers maintaining Bristol’s storied, deeply rooted sonic otherness, and in turn found a camaraderie that allowed him to stay true to a sound left of dubstep’s centre.

Dancefloor Malfunction Returns to Mono's Bar Dalymount on July 24th for our penultimate gig in this iconic venue before it closes for redevelopment.

We have an absolutely sick line-up of local talent for this one on The Rise-up Soundsystem. Gonna be another legendary night in Bohs.

Back on the grid to announce the end of my maternity leave this week (wtf) and the start of (some) gigs again.

First up this Sat, I'm absolutely honoured to be headlining the basement for @honeypot_club at Pride in @wigwamdublin . It's also my bday weekend so I would love to see some familiar faces. It's nearly sold out so get on it quick 👀 Will be my first gig in 6 months so ya know I'm gonna bring it. 😮‍💨

Next month I am over the moon to be joining a sick sick line up for a sick sick party in a sick sick location. Big thanks to @thiscombobulationassociation for the call up and my first gig offer post partum, and making me feel a little bit like me again 😭❤️. Can't wait to play all my fave EBM and electro bangers at this. Extended set too I'm told. Tix available from the link in my bio. Again would love to see the pals at this for a dance.

We are super excited to have Lolz play at Dancefloor Malfunction. An inspiration to so many of us, she is an absolutely killer dj, we can't wait to hear her play in Bohs. Our minds are blowing just thinking of what weapons of discombobulation and dancefloor malfunction she will be wll have in her record bag.

Described as a lynchpin of Irish electronic music, Lolz has established herself as one of the country’s most in-demand DJs, celebrated for adventurous, genre-spanning sets. A fixture on underground dancefloors, radio airwaves and festival stages both in Ireland and internationally, she has performed at renowned events including Open Ear, Electric Picnic, All Together Now and Another Love Story.

Lolz is also a respected promoter, curator and community builder, known for championing local and international talent while fostering inclusive spaces within Irish club culture. Through her work as co-founder of GASH Collective — a platform supporting women, queer, trans and non-binary artists in electronic music for over a decade.

Alongside her own performances, Lolz has shared line-ups and supported influential artists including CCL, Lena Willikens, Helena Hauff and OR:LA. Her latest project, Time in Body, co-created with Eliza and Maeve O’Neill, channels a love of electro, techno and EBM through carefully curated nights that spotlight both live acts and DJs, with previous guests including Radioactive Man, Americhord, Rob Hall and L.F.T..

Dancefloor Malfunction Returns to Mono's Bar Dalymount Park( the most punk/ DIY venue in Dublin)on July 24th for its third outing with the Rise Up soundsystem.

This is our second last gig in this iconic venue before it closes for redevelopment and we are keeping the line-up local this time.

We are delighted to have Lolz @laura__lolz_ play in Bohs for the first time. She is one of our favurite selectors and a huge influence on us all.

Éabha @vampyr.bat live is a force that has to be seen and we are so happy to have her playing her coldwave Italo punk music for dancing in a punky venue like Bohs.
We saw Long Gone Since play in December snd were blown away by the music he created. Watch hom play those machines was a joy. His music is hard to describe Techno not Techno, Electro not Electro, Bass not Bass. Whatever it is its made for dancing and there will be some quare shapes thrown to it
TCA will open up the night with a set of weird and wavey electro punky body music summer anthems for alll you geeks and freaks to get loose to.

We have the Rise Up Soundsystem again. Anybody wo danced at this year's Openear Festival on the beach knows how good that is for your body and mind

Last two gigs sold out and this will do so grab yourself a ticket
