Let’s talk about healthy coping mechanisms…The version of me 10 years ago would have gone out and got blind drunk to escape whatever I was feeling.And I have so much love for that version of me…because I only knew what I knew then.But that kind of self-destructive behaviour keeps you stuck in a cycle that leaves you feeling even worse.But as @oprah always says ‘Once you know better, you do better’Now, knowing what I know about the body, the nervous system and energy…what we don’t allow ourselves to feel, we store…and what we resist, persists.And that shows up as anxiety, depression…dis-ease.These days, when I’m going through something hard, I let myself feel it. All of it.And then I move.Because movement is how I release what I’m holding onto.I choose to cope in a way that leaves me feeling better, not worse.I choose strength. Woweeee! 🤍✨ONE whole year since we opened the doors to Align & Reform and what a magical year it has been! 💫From a building site and a big dream to the beautiful space we get to call home every single day… What a journey!! 🥹Watching our little business grow so organically, seeing our teachers somehow raise the bar week after week, witnessing friendships form, confidence grow and hearing the most heartfelt words about what this space means to so many people… nothing quite compares!More than anything, we’re proud of the community we’ve created together. Knowing Align & Reform has become a place where people feel stronger, happier, supported and truly at home is everything we ever hoped it would be and so much more 🤍What a year. What a dream team.
