What an amazing seven weeks on the farm @polkatheatre with these chickens 🐔 Scroll to number 8 for the ultimate backstage vibe.

6. Digs were only 20 minutes from Hampton Court so obviously as many trips as possible took place

I spent last week on a creative retreat with some amazing people exploring barriers and access to theatre for those with invisible disabilities and chronic illness, and those who are neurodivergent, as well as experimenting with using projections creatively, sparking lots of ideas and discussion, and a quick trip into the beautiful York. Work should always be like this 🖤

Throw back to this day (approximately) in 2022 when @tombarkerphoto somehow managed to make me look like a 1920s silent movie star for the promotional photos for that year's Edinburgh Fringe show, Earwig 🖤

Taking a moment to reflect on 2024 before I dive into 2025. It can be easy to fool yourself into thinking you haven't achieved enough so it's nice to look back and appreciate the year 🙌

Summer and Christmas were spent being a goose (and a chicken) with @derbytheatre and @hiccuptheatre 🐔 including an incredibly exciting research trip to the farm!

Before that, the year began doing some script in hand performances of new writing with @53two and @takebacktheatre.

In February I got to film an exciting commercial and pop out of a sink for two days 🏊‍♀️ 😂

In April I did a table read with some wonderful people for a piece of new writing @timeandagaintc will be getting to work on this year!

It was also lovely to grow more as a director by observing rehearsals for Macbeth at @leedsplayhouse and then directing an accessible R&D in May with some fantastic creatives.

I also feel blessed to be represented by my agents @ashrowtm and for the array of tapes, auditions and recalls I got the opportunity to do. There was a variety of looks 😎😂

In 2025 I want to continue my journey of learning BSL and also become more of an advocate for creatives like myself with invisible disabilities and chronic illness. And if someone could cast me in a period drama, that would be perfect 😘

Really proud to be on ITV this evening talking about the importance of accessible theatre, BSL and captioned performances, and our upcoming performances of Earwig at @the_lowry with @timeandagaintc 💚

Earwig is on this Thursday 28th and Friday 29th September, and there's also a livestream of Friday's performance for audiences that can't make it to the Lowry in person! All performances BSL interpretated and captioned.

First draft is done and it's clocking in at an absolutely ridiculous 35.6k 🙃

It's going to need a truly epic editing job but it's quite exciting to have a (very rough) completed play 🙌
