Wow, what a race! It was hot out there🌞
Crossing the line with @simbarashe was definitely a high.
Absolutely beautiful scenery, brutal terrain. Second ascent up Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) was a mass suffer-fess. I've never experienced so many people marching in silence.
My feet are almost on the mend...

Finished my 1st marathon! And I only went and came 1st lady! 🥇
Completed the Maverick Terrex X Series long route in the peak district on Saturday. The course came up slightly short of the full marathon distance, so when I got to the finish line I kept running!
Weather was warmer than expected, but such beautiful scenery made for a very enjoyable run. I did see a few people chunder along the way though!
Had no idea that I was 1st female at the time, was a huge shock when the results came in. (Result under Laura Dinsdale, oops 😆)

Vald'aran Exp humbled me!
Absolutely blistering heat made me really struggle. I've never had to be a cut off chaser, but I only made the official finish by 53 seconds!
Swipe for my sprint finish 😂
I honestly thought I wasn't going to make it.
Who knew finishing almost last felt like 1st place 😂 by @lauramugomba

Chianti Ultra Trail (CUT 75)
74km with 3000 metres elevation

1st time running at night with a head torch and with my new poles 😅

Had some GI issues, and was very thankful that @simbarashe made me pack some imodium! The last 25k was a bit of a death march. But I got it done! 🙌 taken in Chianti Ultra Trail by UTMB by @lauramugomba

Seville marathon Legs weren't having it today! But it's okay to have a bad day!

Training was a mare, spent most of winter with, and then recovering from flu!

But with @chiantiultratrail 75k coming up I have reframed it as a training run! Thankfull I was running with @simbarashe and we spent the last few miles chatting and laughing! by @lauramugomba

The weekend feels like a million years ago—but what a brilliant return to the mountains. Tools sharpened. Legs tested. Still slow down the Pyg ⛰️, but felt fast up Watkins!

2.5km of vert in the legs, 75% of the course recced, and the mandatory kit put to work 🎒. Fueling’s getting dialled in desperately want to avoid last year's disaster!

Leaned into how to manage my asthma, the race starts with a 1000m climb, I have made the mistake of going out too hard! But I think I figured a few things out, bit by bit, the puzzle is coming together.

Medal Monday! Tenerife Bluetrail 47k by UTMB.
Absolutely beautiful course through lush forests and with some spicy elevation.
Crossing the finish line was a huge moment for me, as I wasn't able to run for most of 2024 due to some health problems. To even get to the start line of this race has been a massive achievement, and to finish was just a bonus.
Would definitely recommend this race, the landscape is stunning!

The Hope Valley Round is a challenging 20-mile loop in the Peak District, beginning and ending in Hathersage, that takes in several prominent peaks
