Started reading Hunger Pains by Samantha Cohoe last night, so far it's a fun read. The way it's written makes for easy reading... Like that JPatterson fella... I also have my font larger than usual 🤷‍♀️

Synopsis:
A haunting tale of fraught sibling relationships and unreliable narrators, perfect for fans of Mona Awad’s dream-like atmosphere and Lucy Rose’s twisted family dynamics.

Alex Ashford-Black and her twin brother Charlie disappeared when they were fourteen. Upon their return a month later, they told a story no one believed of a dark world filled with carnivorous beings and a man named Grey who took them there to feed off their burgeoning talents.

Twenty years later, the veneer of normalcy they’ve crafted is falling apart. Alex, a formerly bestselling writer addicted to male validation, is immolating her self-worth in a toxic affair. Charlie, a rising star of the art world, begins to unravel as hallucinations claw at the edges of his reality. And their younger sister Verity drifts through the wreckage of her privilege recklessly spending her trust fund and listening to the ramblings of their paranoid, reclusive mother.

Currently reading Karro - Jenny Mustard
Pub date: April 20th 2027
@tin_house

Synopsis:
On the cusp of her fortieth birthday, Karro has everything: a husband on the rise in London politics, a beautiful son, a luxurious Edwardian home, and money enough to waste her days on literature and the occasional dose of opium.
When Karro falls into a consuming affair with a younger American artist, what begins as an awakening soon becomes a scandal, and society’s repercussions are immediate and severe.
Karro's desires force her on a desperate pursuit of happiness one that threatens to unravel not only her sense of self, but her entire existence.

Thank you @netgalley & @tin_house

So unhinged, dark, and such a wild ride!
Definitely going on my top five for the year.. I couldn’t put this book down, the dual povs from Mallory and Leo.. the plot!. and wit is so sharp and I was completely hooked.
