✨ Happy new week lovelies ! The lovely @lauras_booksta tagged me into the protein stack challenge, and my shelves got 90% protein 😂 I haven’t been on booksta a lot this weekend, I was so busy, I spend the weekend with the fisherman, celebrating being together for 11 months ( still seems crazy to me !) Did you do something fun this weekend ? • • • • • #bookishchallenge #booksflatlay #booksbooksbooks #weekendvibes #whatiread

🌸 pink stack challenge 🌸 I haven’t done a book challenge in ages and I forgot who tagged me in this one, but here I am ✌🏻 A pink stack of books on a Wednesday never fails to feel appropriate ✨ These are all in my TBR: 🎀 Perfume & Pain A cancelled lesbian novelist ricochets through sex, addiction and literary ambition while trying to claw her way back to relevance in Los Angeles. (I read her other novel years ago and loved it, made me laugh out loud) 🎀 All Flesh Where does the self end and the flesh begin? A surreal literary fever dream in which the boundaries between body, identity and desire begin to dissolve. 🎀 Four Terrible Parents Four queer adults create the family they’ve always wanted… until their daughter disappears and exposes the cracks beneath their utopian dream. 🎀 Goodlord: An Email What begins as a tenancy-renewal email mutates into a spectacularly unhinged manifesto on housing, womanhood and rage (I’m seeing this a lot recently) 👉🏻Swipe to see each cover Have you read any of these? I’ve tagged a few in this challenge, I’d love to see your pink-ish stacks so feel free to tag me when you share them! And if you aren’t tagged but you’re seeing this: consider yourself tagged 🐰 P.s. no pink is not my favourite colour but I was rearranging books the other day and randomly noticed that I seem to have acquired quite a few pink books recently, so here we are 💘🌷🦩 #bookstagram #bookchallenge #tbr

✨CONNECT FOUR✨ Thank you so much to the awesome @lorrie.a.ness for the tag on this challenge! If you’re not following her already, you absolutely should! 🤩 The challenge is to find 4 books that have something in common. My books all simultaneously horrified me and wrecked me emotionally 👹 This Thing Between Us - Gus Moreno - one of the rawest portrayals of grief I’ve read yet. Boys In The Valley - Philip Fracassi - the ending left me with an empty hole where my heart should’ve been The Reformatory - Tananarive Due - THEY WERE JUST KIDS 😭😭😭 (but also don’t do that shit to adults either damn 🥺) Our Share of Night - Mariana Enriquez - the wildest story of generational trauma that left me completely hollow. Staring at the wall levels of hollow. 💭: what’s a book that ripped your heart out? It doesn’t have to be horror! I’ve tagged some besties to participate! If you see this, also consider yourself tagged! 😘 Happy Thanksgiving eve to all who celebrate! 🧡🦃✨
