Thank you, Ziad.

A year ago today, we lost Ziad Rahbani - composer, playwright, pianist, writer… and proof that wit can be an art form.

We’re honoured to be bringing his story to a new generation through Noor’s Heroes. Here’s a little sneak peek: an illustration by the brilliant Laure Ibrahim, alongside a mosaic inspired by Hamra and the music Ziad loved.

Some voices never really leave us ❤️ 🇱🇧

❤️ 🇱🇧 by @laureibra

Galette Sagas is like board game drama but with butter! Spot the one in your fam... you know who you are 😋

Galette des Rois only really makes sense around a table. When we worked on this year’s box, we were thinking about the small ‘dramas’ that repeat themselves every January. Who cuts. Who waits. Who watches too closely. Who pretends not to care. That moment is the ritual. The galette is just the excuse.

So we asked Laure Ibrabim, an illustrator we often collaborate with, to imagine a small comic inspired by these familiar characters. The box becomes a gallery.
Everyone can spot someone they know. Or themselves.

And inside is our favorite character: The King of the Castle. The one who doesn’t really care about the fève or the crown. He (or she) eats an entire galette quietly, alone, at breakfast. The prize is simple. Savouring every bite. Mmm taken in Bakelab Counter by @laureibra
