Faces of OCYFL: Meet Laurel Meske, One of Our Board Members! 🏈💙

Laurel has worn many hats throughout her time at OCYFL, serving in various Board roles and always stepping up wherever she’s needed. Whether she’s volunteering behind the scenes, supporting our families, or lending a helping hand, Laurel is someone you can always count on.

She’s also a proud football mom to Ryne (Senior Division), Maddox (Junior Division), and Hendricks (Junior Division). Her family’s involvement in OCYFL has given her a firsthand appreciation for the friendships, growth, and memories that make this league so special.

When asked about her favorite OCYFL memory, Laurel shared:

“My favorite memory happens each year when teams grow an incredible bond throughout the season! The amount of hours these kids and coaches spend together create lasting memories and friendships!”

She also shared something that perfectly captures both her heart and the spirit of OCYFL:

“One thing to add is that I love seeing OCYFL grow! When I joined the Board years ago, the vision of where the league could go was just a vision. Now I get to see that vision every time we come to the field.”

Those words remind us that OCYFL is about so much more than football and cheer. It’s about building a community, creating lifelong friendships, and watching a shared vision come to life for the next generation of athletes.

Laurel, thank you for your servant’s heart, your unwavering dedication, and the many ways you’ve helped our league grow over the years. We are incredibly grateful for everything you do for the OCYFL family! ❤️💙

So GRATEFUL for the last couple weeks 🙏

This city, university, and community has done so much for our family I can’t begin to explain how special it is to continue this journey for years to come!

While the dust never really settles on building a great program, it feels like this transition has found its rhythm moving forward 👍

Between the time away and time on the road, I’m forever grateful to have the GREATEST “team behind the team” ❤️

Couldn’t be prouder of my amazing husband for being named the new Head Coach at Louisville! 🏐✨ This is such a well-deserved recognition of all the hard work, passion, and dedication you’ve put into your career. You’ve earned this moment, and I can’t wait to see all the incredible things you’ll accomplish in this new chapter.

We’re also so grateful for Dani and her family for their unwavering support, and we’re excited to watch her thrive at Nebraska. It’s bittersweet, but we know she’s destined for greatness, and we can’t wait to see all the success she’ll achieve. 💪🏽

Happy 40th, my amazing husband! 🎉 You’re not just hitting a huge milestone today, you’re also crushing it by making it to the Final Four—what a way to kick off your birthday! I’m so proud of you for everything you’ve accomplished, and I can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings.
