Faces of OCYFL: Meet Laurel Meske, One of Our Board Members! 🏈💙

Laurel has worn many hats throughout her time at OCYFL, serving in various Board roles and always stepping up wherever she’s needed. Whether she’s volunteering behind the scenes, supporting our families, or lending a helping hand, Laurel is someone you can always count on.

She’s also a proud football mom to Ryne (Senior Division), Maddox (Junior Division), and Hendricks (Junior Division). Her family’s involvement in OCYFL has given her a firsthand appreciation for the friendships, growth, and memories that make this league so special.

When asked about her favorite OCYFL memory, Laurel shared:

“My favorite memory happens each year when teams grow an incredible bond throughout the season! The amount of hours these kids and coaches spend together create lasting memories and friendships!”

She also shared something that perfectly captures both her heart and the spirit of OCYFL:

“One thing to add is that I love seeing OCYFL grow! When I joined the Board years ago, the vision of where the league could go was just a vision. Now I get to see that vision every time we come to the field.”

Those words remind us that OCYFL is about so much more than football and cheer. It’s about building a community, creating lifelong friendships, and watching a shared vision come to life for the next generation of athletes.

Laurel, thank you for your servant’s heart, your unwavering dedication, and the many ways you’ve helped our league grow over the years. We are incredibly grateful for everything you do for the OCYFL family! ❤️💙

🏈Thankful for the people behind the program, making a difference one season at a time.📣

Last week we had the opportunity to travel to Hawaii for ✌️ spring matches!

We played @hawaiiwvb in 2️⃣ matches early in the week and “lived aloha” the rest of the week.

🇺🇸 NCAA Volleyball teams are able to take this trip once every 4 years… so we will see you again in 2030 Hawai’i!!! 🏝️ ☀️

BIG THANK YOU TO THE COACH SUMMIT TEAM🤍🫶 what an experience. Being able to bring together a nationwide community of volleyball clubs is no easy task. Your hard-work and dedication was felt by every single coach that attended the LOVB Coach Summit. This team is constantly putting our coaches and athletes first, and we could not be more grateful to have them a part of the LOVB Family🤍🫶

Listen up Burn Crestwood! Today we saw the best use of an UNO reverse card that’s ever been reversed, courtesy of Laurel. She plotted, planned and executed what will no doubt go down in 9:30 camp history as one of the greatest moments ever. Yes, this move on the wall sit has earned its place in Burn lore. She’s a legend. Laurel wins UNO reverse.
