「 #BNHAOC 」third year kaz 🩷! *. smol character page

only real difference is that she’s taller and has slightly shorter hair (we’ll ignore the scars for now heh)~

this was one of the files that didn’t get lost in my lil massive accident last week, just because i had it opened on csp at the same time as i deleted everything else LOL. i took it as a sign to finish it in the meantime while i restart some fss,, it started as a regular doodle page on patreon based on cute pinterest outfits i thought would fit kazane <33

i found myself inclined to saving pink clothing at the time and i couldn’t understand why until i finally drew her in them ^_−☆

「 #BNHAOC 」Quirkless *, part 1/2

They start to grow closer after the Sports Festival. This specific moment happens some weeks before the Midterms/Summer Camp !
.
.
Izuku starts tutoring Kazane in mathematics upon Ectoplasm’s request, and when they get too saturated they find ways to slightly train the body and also prepare for the practical exams.

He knows that he cannot tell her about OFA for her own safety, but as they spend more time together and Izuku discovers this level of comfort in her presence, he feels more tempted to just confide in her. He finds ways to talk to her about his past without directly exposing his secret, just changing some event details slightly so she wouldn’t suspect—but sometimes words or sentences slip unintentionally.

Up until this point he had never heard the word “Quirkless” coming from Kazane’s mouth. When she finally spoke it out, it made him realize that he didn’t really know about her stance on Quirkless people. Whether she stood in a middle ground, or if she looked down upon them like Bakugo and his old classmates did, considering she had such a powerful quirk (,,I imagine there’s also this in-world expectation that people gifted with great power would be the ones to despise or belittle the ungifted ones the most).

As such, he was almost scared to touch the topic with Kazane knowing that’s what he truly was. Despite knowing her and how kind she was, he still met her as an individual with a Quirk and not the other way around. After experiencing how cruel society could be with people like him, how could he be so sure that her view of him would not change depending solely on that?
.
.
,
heh 🙂‍↕️i’ve always had this conversation pictured in mind so i thought it was time to introduce the concept ! it’s one (if not the most) of the most important convos these two have, and it changes many things between their dynamic. haven’t shown the highlight of it yet but that’ll come in the second part ! ✨
whenever that’ll be hahahha thank you always for the patience 🫶

Simultaneously to the events of episodes 1&2 - - Todoroki, Kodoku (@ryma_km GORGggg oc) and Kazane were just having a normal day after school close by.

It was finally my turn to bring some content of these three dorks!! 😭🩷🫶 Kazane and Todoroki were pretty disliked during middle school (for both their attitudes and the fact they were children of pro heroes, so ‘privileged’), so they quickly made a friendship based on everyone else’s rejection. Kodoku arrived to Japan the years later and the rest is history!

[... ] Small mention of Kodoku having grown in England, so she still struggles to read Japanese around these times.

🔖⭐️ funfact . . . Kazane is able to predict the weather with a 100% accuracy within a period of 48 hours (thanks to her quirk)! After that, 20% accuracy decreases each day.

All Might (and his immeasurable strength) being able to change the weather is something that comes up later in Kazane’s story when she’s working/training on her quirk ! Because it is not a natural process (but rather an external element that «forces» the weather to change), she can feel the difference with ease—mostly because it was something that was technically *not* supposed to happen, and she already has the weather forecast mapped in her brain 24/7 so it comes up as almost as an alarm in her senses.

Sometimes it affects her mood and gets her unexplainably annoyed, not because it is painful. It’s just mildly uncomfortable to feel if she wasn’t the one to make the orders.

「 #BNHAOC 」Mrs and Mr. Midoriya · * !

ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ it was a long wait of 8 years for them but they can finally go back to doing heroics together—back to back on the charts too!! ✨
.
*

The world knew Thunderbird was married as per the ring on her finger (and her public pregnancy), but the identity of her partner hadn’t been revealed for years.

I like to think that while the name of Izuku was known worldwide for defeating Shigaraki as a teenager, he was more of a “legend” than a public figure (it’s also an implied concept through his interaction with Dai at the end of the series, who’s very surprised to see Deku is ‘real’).

They kept things that way so they still had a bit more privacy while going out and spending quality time as civilians. When Izuku came back as a hero and entered the charts, they decided it was time to reveal it.

Up until then only his students, staff at U.A., and colleagues/friends were aware of their marriage and family (their twins are 2 years old by the time of the last episode!) 💗 ;v;

🐡small post that took so long for no reason LOL ! but finally introducing kazane’s timeskip design <33 i was not motivated for these sketches but i had already committed, and i really wanted to get it out of the way to start bringing more timeskip content every now and then.
there’s so much i want to explore and share about kazane and izuku’s family/dynamic in the future !! 🤧✨

「 #BNHAOC 」tallest student in class 1-a taking care of the smallest ones ✨! (excluding mineta lol)

Technically Hagakure is the same height as Kazane {{1.52cm}}, but Kazane and Tsuyu are the two specific ones that need extra care during winter (both sensitive to cold temperatures).

It is also canon that Shouji’s arms are very warm, after all 🥹!
.
.
.
,
i was originally going to bring some timeskip content but i’ve been focused on commissions these past months, so it’s still gonna take me a little bit to finish that post 💕! so in the meantime i thought i’d bring a little silly idea i shared on patreon at the beginning of the year. little by little i’ll keep showing more of her dynamic with the rest of classmates as well, juts bear with me hahaha <3

「 #BNHAOC 」 𝘪’𝘷𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨... 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵. 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺… · * 🏫🍁

Kazane and Izuku did not meet in middle school, but they eventually helped each other heal that part of themselves and give it a quiet, peaceful closure in the present. All it really took was some acknowledgment (“to be seen”), and mutual understanding of some emotions they shared in common—thus also the understanding they weren’t entirely alone.
.
.
,

playing with some more slightly abstract concept for posts,, i had a vision on the bus some mornings ago (radiohead songs tend to have that effect ;;;) and I couldn’t let it go hahahah ❤️‍🩹

there’s also still a lot i have to show between them for this to make 100% sense, but it’ll slowly come together ;;v;; for now, let’s just say i also took it as a chance to do some effect, rendering and lighting practice <3

「 #BNHAOC 」. . . 🎀

Training together becomes Izuku and Kazane’s thing after the Summer Camp. After they had to go through such a dramatic fight against Muscular together, it was mostly their way of coping and distracting themselves from such memories. They became workaholics for a while.

Contemporaneously to Ochako slowly discovering her growing feelings for Izuku, she also starts directly seeing how great Kazane compliments him instead; how well they work together, and how they’re able to understand each other naturally. It’s something they don’t even seem to notice themselves.

While the class thought it was for the mere fact they went through the events of the summer camp together (thus only they would be able to comprehend each other’s feelings), Ochako somehow knew that wasn’t purely the reason. Even during the Final Exams-before anything happened-they had already been spending a lot of time together. Regardless of the timeline, seeing this compatibility made her a bit disheartened.

She didn’t know if she’d ever be able to reach something like what Kazane had. Ochako longed for it; admired her. Kazane’s own way of being, her power, the type of privileged lifestyle she held... even that understanding with Izuku, too, and how naturally he seemed drawn to her. They were all emotions that, at the time, she was struggling to comprehend herself and would not until later on (given in the canon universe she already takes a while to accept and understand she was falling in love with Izuku as well)
.
.
.
,
there’s some unfortunate idealization of kazane coming from the class (and especially ochako) that happens over these arcs, but in some instances the anime alludes it seems to be the usual case for those with either famous backgrounds and/or powerful quirks. she was doing way worse than she would openly show after such events.

anyhow…! i’ve been having some few comments in my other posts asking about ochako’s role in kazane’s and Izuku’s relationship, so i thought i would show a sneak peek of it. there’s of course a lot more that traverses besides this, but it’s at least a small base to start with 🤧

Not that they’re complete parallels (as Kazane is not a mentor to Izuku. They’re both learning together at the same pace), but Kazane also has the mannerisms of keeping her feet off the ground 24/7 like Nana seemed to do. I’m pretty sure seeing that habit come up in one of his students would remind Yagi of his previous master.

.
,

i was watching the last season a couple weeks ago and then saw a small shot of Nana doing that little floating pose in one of all might’s flashbacks. i thought it was so adorable and, unintentionally, Kazane-coded ( 😭), so I immediately knew i HAD to do something with it.

thought it was also a fun concept to explore, purely on the side - - if yoichi (1st user) makes reference to izuku, and kudo (2nd) to bakugo, then out of all ofa users nana (7th) would be the closest to kazane. not because of anything in specific, but just the floating part lol

[...completely out of context but] in another life where tenko didn’t turn into a villain and kept his original float quirk, kazane and him would for sure be flying buddies

「 #BNHAOC 」Weather Mastery ☀️ · * !

Kazane’s quirk did appear when she was 4, but it was in a very passive way. Doctors weren’t able to identify it that quick, and because Kazane was very young and still comprehending everything herself, she wasn’t able to describe what she felt either with precision.

They knew it had to be something related to his paternal-side area of quirks in relation to communication, mastery and wind/air-based abilities, mainly because those white streaks of hair had manifested. It usually signified a type of communication or commandment being actively used (though for her it seemed to be ‘permanently there’). Including her constant headaches and the glowing of her eyes, everything pointed in that direction; but her use was so vague to the outsider eye that it was hard to decipher *what* she could command.

It wasn’t until she turned 6, during a bad winter, when it became obvious she could do so with the weather—similar to her paternal grandfather and aunt. The only difference was that she could not hear the weather communicating back. Her commands were just followed in silence, which is why it was so difficult to discover it unlike the rest of her family.

*
.
.
kazane’s first (true) quirk manifestation! Saying ‘true’ because this is the point where her brain/body fully adjusted to the presence of the link between her and the weather. Before, it would be just vague attempts from the sky of answering to her unconscious requests–so small wind drifts, small increments in an already existing rain, etc etc,, kinda like the weather itself was also adapting to something new.

Here it finally responded in full force !

… 🐣+ a small apparition of kaz’s dear older brother, Haruo ! enjoy the happy moments while they last ;;v;;
