Kazane’s quirk did appear when she was 4, but it was in a very passive way. Doctors weren’t able to identify it that quick, and because Kazane was very young and still comprehending everything herself, she wasn’t able to describe what she felt either with precision.

They knew it had to be something related to his paternal-side area of quirks in relation to communication, mastery and wind/air-based abilities, mainly because those white streaks of hair had manifested. It usually signified a type of communication or commandment being actively used (though for her it seemed to be ‘permanently there’). Including her constant headaches and the glowing of her eyes, everything pointed in that direction; but her use was so vague to the outsider eye that it was hard to decipher *what* she could command.

It wasn’t until she turned 6, during a bad winter, when it became obvious she could do so with the weather—similar to her paternal grandfather and aunt. The only difference was that she could not hear the weather communicating back. Her commands were just followed in silence, which is why it was so difficult to discover it unlike the rest of her family.

kazane’s first (true) quirk manifestation! Saying ‘true’ because this is the point where her brain/body fully adjusted to the presence of the link between her and the weather. Before, it would be just vague attempts from the sky of answering to her unconscious requests–so small wind drifts, small increments in an already existing rain, etc etc,, kinda like the weather itself was also adapting to something new.

Here it finally responded in full force !
