After years of building Culture Beauty Studio and training artists one-on-one, I’m bringing everything I’ve learned into something bigger….

CULTURE ACADEMY, Utah’s first dedicated school for lash and brow techs.

I’ve created what I wish I had when I started in this industry. You will leave our program feeling supported, prepared and confident, with the skills you need to make money and thrive in the lash and brow industry.

You’ll be learning from people who actually do this for a living, not people who just teach.

Culture Academy is where lash and brow artists are made. Our 270-hour Lash and Brow Technology program is built to do two things: get you licensed and get you ready to actually build a business. You’ll learn the theory through a mix of online and hands-on in-person training, then move onto our clinic floor to work with real clients and build real speed and confidence before you ever graduate.

Mapping with an open eye will TRANSFORM your lash game.

Other mapping techniques teach to map with surgical markers or gel pens. Those methods are single use only, and even if you are told you can sanitize them, you can’t. There is no way to properly sanitize them so if you use them on more than one client it is UNSANITARY, dangerous and very likely illegal. And if you use them on only one client, it’s EXPENSIVE.

I can’t stand by while improper methods are being taught in the industry so I created an open mapping technique that is sanitary, safe & cost effective.

The one thing that I’ve held on to during my journey owning a lash studio is that THINGS WILL WORK OUT. It may not work out exactly as I planned or imagined, but everything WILL work out.

I started doing lashes as a way to leave my job as an elementary school teacher.

I thought I’d stay small, do it part time out of my house. But after a few years I knew I craved more.

So I started working at a salon. I brought in a few girls to work with me. After doing my best there for about a year, I knew that the salon itself was going to go under, and I had to get out of there before it took me and my girls down with it.

We found a new space. At first, I didn’t think we would do much to renovate it. Just paint it and call it good. Then one day I changed my mind and we decided to completely renovate it.

It was supposed to take six weeks. We started taking clients out of one of my girl’s homes. So many things went wrong. The weather wouldn’t cooperate, the paint had to be done twice, the floor turned out wrong, our furniture was running behind schedule… and six weeks turned into four months before we were finally able to move back in.

We’ve been at our new location for a year now and we’ve had many ups and downs. Things I could never have seen coming, things that weren’t a part of my plan. But you know what? It has ALL WORKED OUT. And it will continue to. I know that no matter what, I will always press forward. And it will work out. It always does. 🤍

I decided last year that I wanted to open a beauty school.

But not just any beauty school, one just for lashes and brows.

There was nothing out there like it, and I knew it was my calling to create it.

I am an educator and a lash artist. I taught elementary school for seven years before leaving to do lashes full-time. I have my Master’s degree in education and know how to build a curriculum and teach it well. I’ve been lashing for over a decade. Building this school is my calling and an absolute privilege.

I know what the lash and brow industry has done for my life, and it can do the same for yours. There is no better job in the world than a pink collar job.
