Now that I have your attention let’s have a talk...

Guess what happens when you don’t wash your lashes?
❗️blepharitis
❗️eye irritation/infection
❗️damaged lashes
❗️LASH. MITES.
This is NOT lash mites, but it will get there eventually without correction. Should I elaborate with pictures or are you good?

So what do you do?
✅ You wash them thoroughly daily.
✅ Brush through them after they’ve dried
✅ Don’t touch/pick them
✅ Come to appointments with freshly washed lashes.

Dirty lashes = damaged lashes.

I say this with the utmost kindness, but stern-ness - you’re GOING be more scared of ME, than of washing your lashes if you DON’T do it, I promise 🙃. Protect your investment dammit.

I saw Kayla @wildflower.esthetics_ post hers and I thought, “Ok. Let’s take a look at mine.”

What. A. Difference years can make. Seriously, the pictures don’t even compare. 🙈 the top pictures were taken on my moms couch... in her basement with her sewing light clamped to a STOOL NEXT TO ME so I could have better lighting ... I mean.... really... I started at the BOTTOM. 🤪 Here are some nuggets of knowledge that really helped me along the way.

EDUCATE YOURSELF - take more lash courses, have educational conversations with other lash artists, and know that “your way” of doing lashes isn’t the only way. There is always something to learn. 📚
•
JUST START - Whatever is getting in your way, go around it. Just keep moving forward. It’s so scary to start something new and unknown, but I promise it’ll be worth it. Keep putting in that hard work. 👊🏼

BE A BUSINESS - Be upfront and clear with your clients. Don’t be afraid to say “lashes aren’t for everyone”, or “Yes, please go wash your eyelashes.” Take your business seriously cause we lash artists do some pretty freaking cool art pieces AM I RIGHT?!? 🎨

Tips & guidelines for your Lash appointment 💜

𝐶𝑂𝑀𝐸 𝑊𝐼𝑇𝐻 𝐶𝐿𝐸𝐴𝑁 𝐿𝐴𝑆𝐻𝐸𝑆
So we can get right into the lash service without having to remove any makeup! I will still give your lashes a lash bath to ensure the best results!
𝐴𝑉𝑂𝐼𝐷 𝐶𝐴𝐹𝐹𝐸𝐼𝑁𝐸
For some caffeine can make you jittery and highly energetic, when doing lashes you need to be as still as possible, relaxed and if the eye lids are fluttering then trying to achieve a great lift or application of extension won't work out too well.
𝑈𝑆𝐸 𝑇𝐻𝐸 𝑅𝐸𝑆𝑇𝑅𝑂𝑂𝑀 𝐵𝐸𝐹𝑂𝑅𝐸
The time booked for your appointment is FOR your lashes. I always ask if you need to use the restroom prior for that reason. Once your eyes are taped you are stuck to my bed, and no one likes to hold their bladder, lol!
𝑊𝐸𝐴𝑅 𝐶𝑂𝑀𝐹𝑌 𝐶𝐿𝑂𝑇𝐻𝐸𝑆
Depending on the type of lash appointment, you may find yourself laying in a couple different positions anywhere form 45min to 4 hrs! Dress comfortably, as if you've come over to netflix and chill with Elle! 🤣
𝐵𝑅𝐼𝑁𝐺 𝐻𝐸𝐴𝐷 𝑃𝐻𝑂𝑁𝐸𝑆
Noooo not so you can be on a work call! I always have music playing and ask if you have anything you'd like to listen to! If you prefer to listen to your own music or podcast, it's all good 💜
𝑆𝐼𝐿𝐸𝑁𝐶𝐸 𝑌𝑂𝑈𝑅 𝑃𝐻𝑂𝑁𝐸
The alloted time for your lash appointment is all we have in that session for your lashes. Phones are distractions and when you're phone isn't on silent it's a distraction to your relaxation and my focus. I have no problem telling you who is calling but honestly that is your "me time" and you should want to enjoy that with no distrubtion.
𝐺𝐸𝑇 𝑅𝐸𝐴𝐷𝑌 𝑇𝑂 𝑅𝐸𝐿𝐴𝑋
You're going to fall asleep....because I've put a lash spell on you 🤣 but seriously, you will be laying down for some time and all you need to do is close your eyes and WOOSAH 💯

If you arrive late to am appointment then we don't have all the time we need to complete your service without rushing. Rushing = bad results!
𝑇𝑂𝑆𝑆 𝑌𝑂 𝑀𝐴𝑆𝐶𝐴𝑅𝐴 𝐴𝑊𝐴𝑌
With lash extensions or a lift you have no need for mascara! Of course with a lift you can use mascara but with extensions, that's a BIG no no!
