BMO VANCOUVER MARATHON

It’s hard to find the words to describe what it felt like to run this race today. To summarize it into one word, I would say ‘Euphoric’. I’m still on the runners high! What an incredible and indescribable feeling it was to cross that finish line and to complete my goal time of hitting sub 4!!!

I’m in awe of how the city showed up today, cheering for each and every person on that course! It amazes me to think about how many strangers were yelling my name, cheering me on, telling me how strong I look and how capable I am of completing a marathon! Today gave me an entirely new perspective on running. I now understand how special the marathon is and how it’s a rare example of how a community bands together to support each other.

My training leading up to today did not go as planned due to injuries, and put me out of running for 4 full weeks. Regardless of the setbacks, I was able to show up and finish a strong race that I’m so proud of myself for!

I’m so incredibly grateful to my husband, family and friends for supporting me and cheering me on all the way to that finish line! Having you in my corner as I work towards my goals means more than you know!

Today, I ran my first marathon. I can’t wait to run it back and chase a new PR! by @laurfaris

HYROX Toronto Mixed Doubles 🏁

Big shoutout to Jordan for convincing me to take on mixed doubles and pushing me the whole way through. My first time taking on the men’s weights definitely made this one a challenge, but also one of the most fun races I’ve done. Really proud of how we raced and the time we put down (even with running an extra lap).
