A wonderful week off the grid on the Appalachian Trail in Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Our longest section hike to date, 80 + miles and now we have connected our hikes from Amicalola State Park in Georgia to just past Hot Springs, NC. We’ve done most of NC and just have a few in TN to connect all the way to Damascus, Va at mile 471. Virginia, here we come in 2027! What a treasure the Appalachian Trail is and every time I’m out there it confirms for me that being out in nature is a fine place to be. taken in Great Smoky Mountains National Park by @laurierichardson
