Desert Paws Sanctuary will be participating in the fundraiser challenge inspired by TIME’s “Purrson of the Year,” Taylor Swift, who included her own rescue cat on the cover of the magazine. On Wednesday, December 13th, for Swift’s birthday, fans are encouraged to pick a local rescue or shelter and donate $13. Please consider donating to Desert Paws Sanctuary.

The 3 kittens below were rescued yesterday (12/11/2023) from a high-kill shelter. Sadly, all three have medical notes on them and were RED CODED, meaning they were in danger of being euthanized at any moment. There are all safe with a foster and will become available after they have been examined, spayed/neutered, and vaccinated.

Introducing Winnie, our new foster pup. She was a stray and ended up at a high kill shelter. She is so sweet. She is potty trained, sleeps through the night, gets along great with other dogs and seems happy to be around everyone. She’s a bit shy at first, but give her a day and she warms up quickly! She will need to be spayed and then will be open for adoption.

These 5 month old huskies were dumped in the city of DHS. We are trying to find them a loving and energetic family. They have a lot of energy and need exercise.

Vaccination of rabies completed. Other vaccinations will be provided soon.
