Pisa Half Marathon completed!

Today me, alongside my brother @johnthegolfcoach, and @ord.andy completed the Pisa Half Marathon in memory of my dad, raising money for Alzheimer’s Research UK.

Back in the day dad was an avid runner and the first one to give me running tips, and also my biggest cheerleader - so to take on this in his honour meant so much to me and my brother. He would have been right there cheering us on, giving us a big hug (and a pint!) at the finish line ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated and supported me and this cause - your generosity and kind messages have meant so much in the past six months since he passed.

Alzheimer’s is a cruel disease, and hopefully the money raised can play a small part in helping fund the research needed to make a difference to families affected by it and ultimately find a cure.

Our dear daddy. Wanting to hear your voice again, I recently trawled through some old voicemails you left me before you got Alzheimer’s - all were asking me some variation of what time I needed picking up 😂. Oddly enough it was exactly what I needed to hear. I like to think that last pic was you following us around when we recently visited Wexford! It’s easy to be consumed by grief, but I try to remember that we were the lucky ones ❤️. Give your dads an extra squeeze today. by @lavacomms

With a heavy heart, I have to share the passing of my Dad, John O’Neill.

He was a much loved husband, father, brother and friend, and is already greatly missed by us all.

The funeral will take place on Friday, 24 April, and all who knew him are welcome to join us in celebrating his life.

Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Alzheimer’s charities or the British Heart Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to thank everyone for the love, support, and acts of kindness shown to me and my family. I truly didn’t realise just how much it would help, and we are so grateful. by @lavacomms
