One of my favorite things about being a content creator is knowing that something I create might inspire, motivate or even help someone. 🥹

Whether it encourages you to try something new, keep going, take a chance on yourself or simply reminds you that you’re not alone in whatever season you’re in… that means EVERYTHING to me. ✨️🙏

Creating content is fun, but knowing it can actually connect with someone or make even the smallest impact? That’s the part that fulfills me the most. 🫶

This is your reminder to put yourself in new environments. ✨

Earlier this week, I was in 🗽NYC for the 9th Annual iLeadership Summit & Awards, surrounded by leaders with different experiences, backgrounds and perspectives. It reminded me how important it is to intentionally step into spaces that expose us to something different.

Not every new environment will drastically change your life, but it might introduce you to a new idea, a new connection or even a version of yourself you haven’t discovered yet.

I left NYC feeling inspired, reenergized and excited to be part of the Rogue Media family. Looking forward to returning for their big 1️⃣-0️⃣ celebration next year! 🎉

I’ve been consistent for 4️⃣ months… let’s talk about it. 👀

In June of this year, I made a lifestyle change more boldly than I had in previous years, and the changes I’ve noticed since have been pretty freaking amazing.

First, the energy. ⚡️ As an entrepreneur, the days can be REALLY long because there is almost always something that needs your attention. However, lately I’ve found myself with a less cluttered mind, which has made taking on tasks and getting things done as I build feel a little easier.

Then, the confidence. ✨ The scale has started going in the opposite direction… FINALLY. 😂 But even better, I’m feeling more confident in what I can DO. Things I’ve been putting off because I didn’t feel comfortable (like yoga, hiking, swimming, etc.) don't feel as intimidating anymore.

Lastly, trusting the process. 🧘🏽‍♀️ This one has probably been the hardest for me because I’m learning that I’m never going to be fully in control. I’m also learning that change doesn’t happen overnight and that I don’t need to see a huge result every week to know I’m moving forward.

Four months in, I’m starting to understand that the baby steps REALLY do matter. You may not notice the little improvements right away… but they all add up.
I’m becoming more patient with myself and learning to appreciate where I am instead of constantly thinking about where I “should” be by now. And whew… that is a lesson in itself. 😂

Four months later, I’m really freaking proud of the progress I’ve made, but even more excited to see where I go from here. LFG! 🔥

Back at @navypierchicago as a coach for their Small Business Accelerator cohort powered by @bmo_us! 🙌

As a solopreneur, I know firsthand that social media can feel like A LOT when you’re already doing all the things. 😅 So for this session, we focused on making social media work for US, not against us from rethinking consistency and using content we already have to understanding our audience’s journey and finding tools that make creating a little easier.

After 12+ years in marketing, I truly enjoy sharing what I’ve learned and helping other entrepreneurs find an approach that feels doable for them.

Thank you, @ms.mar1sa, for having me back! 🫶 Excited to see everyone put what we learned into practice.

My birthday month was extra special this year. 🥹✨ It started with FINALLY getting my photo with @drsimi_oficial. 😂✈️ Then I made my way to Los Angeles, where @marketingroxofficial was one of 20 small businesses invited to @createcultivate, the world’s largest gathering for women in business.

💻 Back in Chicago, I returned as a coach for @navypierchicago’s Small Business Accelerator Program, helping entrepreneurs leverage the power of social media.

Then New York welcomed me! 🗽 (In an extremely interesting way, I may add 🙈) I connected with C-suite executives and community leaders, exchanging perspectives on business, technology and opportunity; insights I’m carrying into this next chapter.

And in between all of that, I met some really dope AF humans and reconnected with OG ones. 📆

While this has been my busiest month ever as an entrepreneur, a big personal win was continuing to take my wellness goals to new levels 💪 and learning to make space for myself “in the middle” 😉 of everything else.

Overall, I’m closing out this birthday month with a very full heart. ❤️ Grateful for another year of life, the people I get to share it with and everything this next year has to teach me.

Here’s to another trip around the sun. ☀️
