September photo drop!

Man, I was literally all over the place this month: LA, San Diego, San Francisco, the OC.

And then I may have flown halfway around the world.

I reunited with my family for both sad and joyous occasions, and was reminded there are many people who love and care about me even if they're hundreds or thousands of miles away.

On the bag front, I got to try on some one-of-a-kind bags, including a Louis Vuitton firefly trunk, a barenia Hermes cargo hac a do (and also one in denim), and the coveted maxi Kelly. I may or may not have purchased one of them. You'll have to wait and see!

BTW, I always post my photo drops sequentially. So you can see I really was all over the place! I really miss LA though.

And also my ass looks really flat in that reverse shot LOL. But who reads to the end of the caption anyway. by @lawryee

Well, my flight was just delayed again so might as well post some bag content!

Earlier this month, Goyard introduced -- or should I say reintroduced -- its Grand Bleu messenger bag.

I believe this re-edition has an updated closure. The square crossbody has an interior and rear pocket (yay). A simple flap closure keeps the contents completely secure

The exterior is the Maison's signature Goyardine canvas with leather trim. The interior is Goyard's signature yellow cotton.

As a "men's" bag, it only comes in Goyard's three "men's" colors (tan, black and grey).

It has a similar profile to the Musette which I debuted in the Spring. I have side-by-side shots of both bags above for size comparisons; the Grand Bleu is slightly taller and wider.

The Grand Bleu comes in at a higher price point, justified by its larger size, flap, and reversible strap. You can see the details in the product shots, but one side of the strap is Goyardine, while the reverse side is the coordinating leather color. All of the hardware is palladium.

The strap is my favorite part of the re-edition. I just wish it was released in a few more colors (namely navy). Will you be getting the new Grand Bleu?

August 2026 photo dump!

Man, this month flew by fast.

I realized that I didn't have that many interactions this month. I think I saw my dermatologist more than I saw my friends (wear sunscreen and don't pop your stitches).

I did joyfully celebrate the birthdays of close friends and apparently ate an inordinate amount of omakase and pizza.

But I guess I was missing a lot of human connection, maybe because I was ping-ponging around so much, but not for lack of trying. Everyone is just so busy or preoccupied ... I get it.

But as the world becomes increasingly tribalized let's remember our friends and neighbors are those we turn to in times of need.

And on the bag front, I bid farewell to my giant dino bag and decided the Amazona wasn't for me. But I did get a slouchy bag I'll be debuting soon! by @lawryee

July 2026 recap!

Got to celebrate my belated birthday with friends in Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

Temps topped out at 111 degrees on The Strip and I was a sweat bomb.

Despite this, I made many connections with a lot of great SAs, who really welcomed knowledgeable clients. The tariffs and inflation have really hit Vegas hard.

The celebrations continued in San Diego with more family birthdays, before a little pre Comic-Con jaunt around downtown.

I immediately was transported back to my days at FANDOM where I oversaw our team coverage of #SDCC. Was definitely experiencing a bit of FOMO.

For you purse peeps, I got to try a whole bunch of rare bags including an Hermes shoulder Birkin, a Loewe ostrich Amazona and the new Louis Vuitton Silk Tech line.

But the absolute highlight was being selected to play "The Traitors" with industry colleagues. I was the last original Traitor standing! Truly a bucket list experience. Maybe I should apply for the Peacock season?! by @lawryee

June 2026 photo dump.

Yeah, the events and fashion stuff is fun, but what you don't see is the constant ping-ponging between LA and SD and SF I've been doing for a year now.

Glad I could reconnect with friends and colleagues and most importantly with family for my dad's celebration of life.

And somewhere amidst all the travel and tribulations I turned another year older.

And yes I wear a lot of black but they're different shirts, I swear 🖤. by @lawryee

May 2026 recap!

Split most of the month between LA and SD.

Kicked things off with "The Devil Wears Prada 2" followed by a real-life Prada event (thanks to my amazing SAs).

It was #aapiheritagemonth and I met a lot of inspir-Asians (is that trademarked?) and reconnected with old friends at the Gold Gala.

There was also crafting and craft cocktails and of course, some fun bags that will be debuting soon. Next up, my birthday month! by @lawryee

(Reposting because the drum audio didn't go through the first time)

What a way to kick off #aapiheritagemonth 2026!

Last night, I screened "The Karate Kid Part II" with real-time commentary from Tamlyn Tomita (Kumiko) herself, along with notable #AAPI pop culture and film journalists.

Tamlyn shared many memories from the set, which was in Hawaii instead of Okinawa. In a fortuitous foreshadowing, she had actually learned the tea ceremony before even auditioning for the film! She also fought against having chopsticks in her hair, but they ended up being such a pivotal part of the infamous scene with Ralph Macchio.

Speaking of hair, she joked about how unruly it was throughout the film, and how dirty her shoes were in the final fight.

During that climactic scene, the audience joined in beating their own den den daiko drums (IYKYK). The screening ended with everyone singing along to the Oscar-nominated power ballad "Glory of Love."

Tamlyn was luminous and funny, and remains many a Gen Zer's first on-screen crush.

The event was in celebration of the film's 40th anniversary AND the 25th anniversary of Angry Asian Man and his activism.

Angry Asian Man and I have known each other for 20 years. He has been a colleague, friend and someone I admire.

Happy anniversary and congrats bud. Stay Angry.

Thank you Prada for inviting me to the Fall/Winter 2026 preview at #PradaHouse in Bel Air.

It was incredible seeing all the upcoming RTW, accessories and shoes in person, as well as the incredible custom and MTO options.

After driving up from San Diego in the pouring rain, a few fashionable friends and I were welcomed by sunny skies and even sunnier staff.

I was so enamored by the pieces that I didn't take any bag photos, which is normally my jam. We saw sparkly purses that converted into bigger bags, and exotic pieces in every color of the rainbow (Note: I do not wear exotics).

Both menswear and womenswear were shown, but my friend AJ and I were all about the men's coats and largely stuck to that room.

And what a room it was, with racks full of tailored coats and colorful bombers.

A huge thank you to Jay, Trent and Prada Rodeo Drive for a very special afternoon.

You'll have to wait and see if I ordered anything, but one of the slides might have a sneak peek!

Thank you Maison Goyard for inviting me to try the new Musette bag (I would've been the first West Coast owner of this bag, but another patron just beat me at the register).

The shoulder bag is similar to the Hermes Evelyne 29, coming in at just one centimeter shorter (28 cm length, 22 cm height, 10 cm width).

The detachable strap is short (I'm 5'8" and the strap is at its longest). It works fine as a shoulder bag but would be a tight crossbody (I'm fairly broad). You can purchase an optional longer strap for $460.

It's made out of Goyardine's signature coated canvas and leather. The inside is linen/cotton with a Goyardine-lined interior pocket. Unlike the Evelyne, there is no exterior pocket.

Whereas Hermes has a snap button closure, the Musette has an embossed magnetic closure that can be tucked inside or outside. The front and back are pretty much identical.

This is a versatile, unisex bag that I'm sure we'll see a lot more this spring. It comes in Goyard's standard 12 colors. I loved the navy but I already have cap vert in that colorway, so I opted for gray.

Goyard is kind enough to let me preview LE pieces in advance and even invited me to their VIP boutique while I was in Milan for the Olympics.

This bag is about $1500 less expensive than its leather Hermes counterpart. If you like the style, Coach, Maison De Sabre, and Aspinal of London have similar saddle bags at a budget friendly price point. You can message me for recs!

This is the type of content I plan on posting when I launch my bag blog, and feedback is appreciated!

It would be a sin (bcc: Adrien B.) not to deep dive this all-new double ep - featuring @lawryee - out now!

We unpack our highs, lows, and whoas from The Oscars 2026, what it means to be a ‘brand’ on RHOBH (and how that competes with the actual brand of ‘friend circle’), Amanda’s uncertain future on the franchise (and who else deserves a question mark), whether Natalie is a friend-of or editing error, Dorit v. Kyle (and a press tour focused on what allegedly happens this week), and more.

What an unforgettable night celebrating #AAPI excellence at the Unforgettable Awards.

I haven't really been to a gala since my dad passed so it was amazing to reconnect with so many friends and make new ones.

From the beautiful tables to the inspiring speeches and incredible entertainment (magician/mentalist Kevin Li left everyone awestruck and Eric Nam got us out of our seats), I felt uplifted, especially after many rough months.

I feel reinvigorated to tell my community's stories and was also encouraged to do the bag blog from creators I look up to (though I think it'll be easier to return to journalism).

Check out these photos from throughout the evening as my hair gets flatter and flatter lol.

The awards show, which honored the likes of Bowen Yang and KPop Demon Hunters, will air March 13 on @getgoldentv.

Thank you to all the sponsors and organizers for an amazing event.
