Meet the National Board for Wales | Bwrdd Cenedlaethol Cymru ⚖️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Glyn Lloyd is the founder and managing partner of Newfields Law, a specialist immigration law firm with offices in England and Wales.

Glyn said: “I joined the National Board for Wales because I wanted to play a part in shaping the future of the legal profession in Wales and ensure the experiences of smaller, entrepreneurial law firms are reflected in national discussions."

He is particularly passionate about developing new routes into the profession. Newfields has invested in Level 7 solicitor apprenticeships in England and Glyn believes a similar route in Wales could help attract talent and support social mobility.

“Being able to bring that practical experience to discussions around the Law Society’s campaign for funded Level 7 solicitor apprenticeships in Wales is especially rewarding,” he added.

Before establishing Newfields, Glyn worked in-house at Cardiff University. He is also co-convenor of the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association (ILPA). by @lawsocwales
