Excited to check out some of the progress on the LGBTQ Cultural District here in Long Beach! Thank you @jewelslongbeach for your hosting skills advocating for community! A huge thank you to @robertgarcialb & @councilwomancindyallen & @longbeachcity @lbpublicworks for their hard work & dedication to bring this project to fruition! I’m excited to see the future of our community & after seeing some of the hateful comments on this CITY IMPROVEMENT, it really illustrates the need for this community space❤️ What would you like to see be a part of the Long Beach LGBTQ Cultural District? 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️HAPPY PRIDE MONTH!🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈 Pride Month is a time to come together to celebrate each other & the special community we create together. Being authentic, vulnerable, & visible is often the most powerful thing you can do to encourage others to love & accept themselves. In a time of darkness & hate, it’s never been more important to be the light, joy, & peace that we need in our world right now. I made this video from portraits I’ve captured at the @lbpride Pride Parade over the last 10 years to show the power we have when we come together in PRIDE. Hope you have a blessed PRIDE MONTH & got more PRIDE coming your way so STAY TUNED! 📸❤️ @lucasgordonphotography #prideparade #lbpride #pridemonth #lgbtqpride #artslb taken in Long Beach, California by @lbqueerartfest

What a beautiful day for a BIG GAY PICNIC in the LBC. BIG GAY SHOUTOUT to @hellolongbeach & @lb.proud for creating space for the community to come together to celebrate, connect, & be PROUD this past weekend. Bixby Park was a full of rainbows, bubbles, & QUEER JOY! Although LB PRIDE was a little different this year, I had a blast capturing all the amazing community members, moments, & events that made it one of the BEST LB PRIDE WEEKENDS EVER! It’s a reminder that PRIDE is created by the AMAZING HUMANS that show up & show OUT as their authentic selves not just for PRIDE, but ALL. YEAR. LONG. More pics from MANY other events I photographed over the EPIC LB PRIDE weekend coming soon so stay tuned! 📸 @lucasgordonphotography #lucasgordonphotography Saturday May 16th, 2026 @salkahlo @daniel_j_obrien @lbianss @queercicles @lailaderak @cbsla #lbpride #lbproud #longbeach #biggaypicnic taken in Long Beach, California by @lbqueerartfest
