Excited to be hosting a FREE art experience exhibiting my artwork featuring portraits taken at PRIDES thru the years, leading an art making workshop where participants will be making their own heavenly halo or superhero headpiece, & doing photo shoots in front of a DIVINE backdrop all to help you embrace your inner saint or superhero & reflect the beauty, divinity, power, & PURE PERFECTION of the LGBTQIA2S+ community❤️

There will be numerous artists, creators, performances, entertainers, & vendors throughout the day so you DON’T want to miss this event because @lb.proud & @hellolongbeach ALWAYS do the most & turn it OUT for our community! AND! If you are interested in participating as an artist, entertainer, or vendor, reach out to them! They are always welcoming to embracing community & involving them in their events!

We’ll also be talking about some of the amazing things we have in store for @lbqueerartfest 2026 so if you want to learn more about our mission & how to be a part of LB Queer ArtFest 2026 come on out!

Your visibility is your voice & we need your voice more than ever!

I’ve been photographing PRIDE celebrations for the last 10 years for a collection entitled, Portraits of Pride. The goal of the collection is to show the power of visibility in creating LGBTQIA2S+ community, representation, & empowerment.

If you want to see MORE of my Portraits of Pride up close & in person, I will be exhibiting some of them along with more of my queer artwork at the Big Gayborhood Gathering by @lb.proud coming Sat Oct 24th to Bixby Park & in addition, I’ll also be hosting a FREE queer art making experience & photo opportunity for you to take part in! The film features The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence of San Francisco @sfsisters & their mission to help others, promulgate universal joy, and expiate stigmatic guilt through their FABULOUS Easter event!

There will also be a blessing & “meet & greet” by our own glorious local @ladragnuns, many of which are photographed here at Long Beach Pride thought the years.🙏🏽

No other group does more to bring joy & love to our community than the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence & they have a rich history that needs to be learned, preserved, & celebrated!

You were an outspoken advocate for our community when others judged us.

Fabulous queer artists from around the world have drawn endless inspiration from you, such the beautiful drag DIVA @jewelslongbeach when we did this fun #dollyparton photo shoot @hamburgermaryslb a while back.📸

But we love more than just your amazing musical talent, wit, hair, beauty, humor, & campy style.

You showed us that there can be kindness with success, that community support is love, and that integrity truly is what you do when nobody is looking.

Thank you for creating such beauty in this world & for being an example of light here on earth. If there are angels, you surely are one.

May we all live by your example to love, share, & give more to one another in your honor.

How do you connect with nature as a queer person?🌱

Anyone else other than me forget to take the time to slow down & GROUND themselves in nature?✋

Nature connects us. Nature is us…..ALL OF US! It is our family. It is our friend. It is not on the exterior, but within us & it is especially important for queer artists because nature can be a huge source of inspiration for creativity.

Nature connection is so important for the entire LGBTQIA2S+ community because of the myriad of positive mental, physical, emotional, & spiritual benefits that being in nature creates, which we as a community need💚

In this hectic world with so many distractions, it can be easy to forget what’s important & I know I’m guilty of hyper-focusing on my art, community organizing, work, small business, & everything else this world throws at me.

But forgetting to connect back to nature is a huge mistake. Because by connecting with nature, we connect more fully with ourselves & each other. And nothing is more natural & beautiful than that!

Do you remember the last time you’ve taken a moment to appreciate the immense beauty of nature?

There is no time like the present! Get out there! Put down the phone, take a walk, go to the park, take a swim, go for a drive, go to the beach…the options are limitless!

In hopes of getting more LGBTQIA2S+ community out in Nature, VERY SOON, I’ll be doing some fun Queer nature excursions to encourage community connection & inspiration in the great OUTdoors!
