For my birthday I wanted to do something I’d never done before. Thanks to @melbcobb and her first pottery sale I got two amazing vases. And thanks to my @barnardcollege sister @marthastewart48 I learned how to arrange flowers on youtube! Learning new stuff is fun! by @lc_keith

A few weeks ago a family film that I helped to get made was banned from some classrooms. The movie was “Ruby Bridges.” The state was Florida. I shared my thoughts with @kristenlopez88 for @thewrap along with the screenwriter @treeladytoniann and our director @euzhanpalcyofficial but I didn’t post about it because I needed time to think. Some smart people in Florida have since reversed the decision. I encourage all of you to read @kristenlopez88 great story and see our lovely cinematic tribute on Disney + to experience what a 6 year-old-girl and her brave parents did for all of us. My personal takeaway from the experience is to always remember to approach my amazing gift of storytelling with intention. Not only does it entertain, but it can also change the course of someone’s day, offer a much needed escape and create meaningful change. I’m happy to announce that I have taken representation with The Harry Walker Agency for public speaking. Drawing upon my experiences as a writer, producer and studio executive I have been speaking at companies and universities on topics, such as the craft of storytelling and screenwriting; how to dive into your life to mine your authentic story; how to pitch; how to find a big idea, etc. My link is attached. Please reach out if you’d like for me to drop a little knowledge (along with some laughs) to your company or organization.

First movie premiere in World 2.0. Check! Had a great night with #ninashaw feting the visionary filmmaking of #hardertheyfall. A beautiful reminder that even a global pandemic can’t crush great artistry. Proud of my pal @tendonagenda for keeping the wheels on the bus and spirits high when circumstances got tough. Movie is not to be missed. @netflixfilm @strongblacklead by @lc_keith

Alonzo Herndon, founder of Atlanta Life Insurance Company, was born into slavery but died as one of America’s first black millionaires. The institute that bears his name is doing it’s part to ensure that America’s corporate boards look like America. I am humbled and grateful to be a member of the 2nd class. Thank you #herndondirectorsinstitute and @Nasdaq for the Times Square shout out! by @lc_keith

Congrats to all of the Daytime Emmy winners and the entire cast and crew of @julieandthephantoms! And a special thank you to @dancross100 and @david.hoge for inviting me into their writers’s room to help bring a whole lotta folks to tears. Pandemic bdays have a habit of making us focus on what we can’t do or what we don’t have. So, for this next trip around the sun I’m going to focus on my gratitude for the brilliant folks who gave us our lives back in the form of vaccines, my incredible family that I was born into and that I chose and for the things that inspire me to say stuff that some folks think is worthy of a listen. Thanks for all the kind bday wishes. ❤️ by @lc_keith

When @scatepark invited me to the very first fundraiser for fellow Georgia girl @staceyabrams I went because Georgia girls support other Georgia girls. Little did I know that I (and the other 11 people in the room) was bearing witness to greatness in the making. Thank you @staceyabrams! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 by @lc_keith
