TEAM NEWS 🚨

For the last time of the 2026 cricket season, here are your senior sides for this weekend’s friendlies.

Saturday we’ve been told to lock up our wives and daughters as @bashley_cc are in town for one night and one night only.

Following the game, we have our end of season awards night! Junior awards starting at 5:30, seniors following after, plus with the bar open all day, it should be a great day.

Sunday see’s us not only battle our hangovers, but battle @cyposcc in our annual end of season game.

💙 A HUGE THANK YOU 💙

Just a quick post to say THANK YOU to these incredible players in the photo, and to everyone who turned up, for making this year’s memorial to Carlin another very meaningful, loving and special day. 🩵

Every year, we are overwhelmed by the love, friendship and community that surround us, and yesterday was no exception. 💙

A very special THANK YOU to all our incredible volunteers who gave their time, energy and love to make the day happen. We truly couldn’t do it without you.

And a huge THANK YOU to Long Ditton Cricket Club, The Village Pantry, Kells Kitchens, The 4th Thames Ditton Ajax Sea Scouts and Marney’s Village Inn for all your support and for helping make the day so special. 💙

And finally, a MASSIVE THANK YOU to everyone who has donated. We have hit the £5,000 mark in aid of SANE.🥹💙 We are so incredibly grateful for every single donation and for all the support you continue to give us. Together, we are changing mental health for good! 🫶

More updates to come, but today we’re having a much-needed restful day and taking it all in.

Sunday XI host @afcsouthborough who after retiring from football want to try their hand at a new sport!

The Carlin Cup 2026 💙

We would love you to join us on Sunday 6th September 2026 at Long Ditton Cricket Club for our third Carlin Cup, our annual memorial cricket match and fundraiser for mental health, held in loving memory of our beautiful son and brother, Carlin.

In January 2023, Carlin tragically took his own life at the age of just 20. While nothing can fill the space he left in our lives, we honour his memory by bringing people together for a day of cricket, friendship and community, while raising awareness of mental health and funds for SANE.

SANE is a charity that is very close to our hearts, providing vital support to people affected by mental health challenges and campaigning to reduce stigma. Every donation, no matter the size, helps them continue this life-changing work.

Whether you can join us on the day or simply make a donation, your support means the world to our family. Together, we can remember Carlin, celebrate his life, and help bring hope to others.

QUIZ NIGHT 🚨
1’s host @brentfordcricketclub looking to make it 4 wins on the bounce in their hunt for promotion.

2’s travel to colets to face @thamesdittoncc needing to put in a much better performance than last week to make it 4 league wins out of 4 against the swans.

Sunday XI host Pyestock CC where a win would be nice I guess. Ozzy Sawyers makes his senior debut!

QUIZ NIGHT SATURDAY, Matt Baker will be your quizmaster for the evening, where the only challenge harder than the questions will be if he can stay sober enough to read them out! £20 per team with a prize for the winners!
