💙 Long live Carlin’s memory 💙

💙 A HUGE THANK YOU 💙

Just a quick post to say THANK YOU to these incredible players in the photo, and to everyone who turned up, for making this year’s memorial to Carlin another very meaningful, loving and special day. 🩵

Every year, we are overwhelmed by the love, friendship and community that surround us, and yesterday was no exception. 💙

A very special THANK YOU to all our incredible volunteers who gave their time, energy and love to make the day happen. We truly couldn’t do it without you.

And a huge THANK YOU to Long Ditton Cricket Club, The Village Pantry, Kells Kitchens, The 4th Thames Ditton Ajax Sea Scouts and Marney’s Village Inn for all your support and for helping make the day so special. 💙

And finally, a MASSIVE THANK YOU to everyone who has donated. We have hit the £5,000 mark in aid of SANE.🥹💙 We are so incredibly grateful for every single donation and for all the support you continue to give us. Together, we are changing mental health for good! 🫶

More updates to come, but today we’re having a much-needed restful day and taking it all in.

Lots of love,
Marina, Dylan & family x

Energize. Excite. Empower.

Cricket Across the Pond 2026 was more than a cricket tour. It was an opportunity to learn, grow, build meaningful relationships, and experience the world beyond the boundaries of the classroom and cricket field.

This year marked a historic milestone as the first-ever all-girls team in the Cricket Across the Pond program travelled to the United Kingdom. Throughout the journey, the team had the opportunity to compete, train, meet inspiring leaders, visit historic institutions, and connect with individuals and organizations who generously shared their time, experiences, and knowledge.

We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who welcomed us, hosted us, shared their stories, supported our matches, and contributed to making this experience possible. Your generosity and commitment to investing in young people made this journey truly unforgettable.

A special thank you to @fordnationdougford for his integral role in helping ensure this historic trip became a reality and for supporting opportunities that empower young people across Ontario.

We are also deeply grateful to the many cricket clubs, organizations, leaders, coaches, and supporters across Ontario and the United Kingdom who played a role in making Cricket Across the Pond 2026 such a meaningful experience.

🏆💙 The Story Behind the Carlin Cup

In 2024, as we were thinking about bringing everyone together to remember and celebrate Carlin’s life, Long Ditton Cricket Club kindly offered us the use of their grounds for a memorial cricket match.

Dylan had played — and still plays — at LDCC for many years, and Carlin had also played there for a short while before rugby became his main focus. The club had been part of our family’s life for so long that it felt like the perfect place — and a lovely way for us to support the club too.

And so began the Carlin Cup: a chance to come together each year to remember and celebrate Carlin’s life, his love of sport and the incredible group of friends he made during his short life. The day brings together family, friends and the community, while raising awareness of mental health and supporting SANE. 💙

If you’d like to support SANE in Carlin’s memory, the donation link is in the bio. Every donation, no matter how small, means a lot and helps SANE continue their incredible work, such as providing free support to those who need it. Thank you 💙

The Carlin Cup 2026 💙

We would love you to join us on Sunday 6th September 2026 at Long Ditton Cricket Club for our third Carlin Cup, our annual memorial cricket match and fundraiser for mental health, held in loving memory of our beautiful son and brother, Carlin.

In January 2023, Carlin tragically took his own life at the age of just 20. While nothing can fill the space he left in our lives, we honour his memory by bringing people together for a day of cricket, friendship and community, while raising awareness of mental health and funds for SANE.

SANE is a charity that is very close to our hearts, providing vital support to people affected by mental health challenges and campaigning to reduce stigma. Every donation, no matter the size, helps them continue this life-changing work.

Whether you can join us on the day or simply make a donation, your support means the world to our family. Together, we can remember Carlin, celebrate his life, and help bring hope to others.

Thank you for your kindness and support. Link in bio 💙
