to help celebrate America’s upcoming 250th anniversary, @nypl dusted off George Washington’s 1757 small beer recipe and tapped @taleabeer to make it a modern reality. The result is two beers — George Washington’s Original Brew, which stays true to the original recipie, and the sure shot summer sipper, Liberty Lager. I headed to Talea HQ in Williamsburg and spoke with co-founder and proud veteran @lea_of_talea and head of production @realebrown about this unique collaboration, and how they translated an 18th-century recipe for the 21st-century. George would be so proud 🇺🇸🍻🫡 by @lea_of_talea

We are so excited share that we’ve been named to the 2026 Inc. Female Founders 500! 🍻

TALEA is built on the principle that breweries can—and should be—more inclusive and approachable spaces, especially for women. This recognition means so much to the both of us, and we couldn’t be more grateful to our incredible partners, collaborators, and TALEA team for helping us get here.

An additional thank you to @incmagazine for this honor, and cheers! by @lea_of_talea
