⏰𝟮𝟰 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗴🍎

❤️I try to keep an open mind and stay optimistic, regardless of what life throws at me. Because in the end, a good beer or a friendly smile is only so far away.

✈️I flew down to NYC recently for a 24 hour jaunt to see the one and only @noahkahanmusic - except, I didn’t see him. The show @citifield was canceled for weather related issues. While the core reason for my trip with @chelseaguererri was no longer happening, I made the best of it. Seeing old pals, spending time with my sister, and drinking incredible beer.

🧂I was gifted a can of this supremely dry and delicious rice lager that’s brewed with Koji, and it lived up to the hype! @saltfieldsbrewing only does this one beer, focusing on minor tweaks each batch. It’s an incredible food friendly beer, and is at many Japanese restaurants in the NYC area. Japanese rice lagers have been in my glass a lot lately, and for good reason. Perfect summer and food beer, but also delicious on its own.

✌️If you follow me, you know about my love for @wildeastbrewing in Brooklyn. It’s rare to come across a brewery that makes such a wide variety of beers at a world class level. Their lager program is epic, with most (if not all) bartenders being trained as tapsters from @lukr.cz. Their British ales are true to style, sessionable, and they are @caskmarque certified, always having an awesome proper cask beer available. And they also crush their wild program, and make some damn good IPA’s as well (especially their west coast IPA’s, imo). A must visit when in NYC 🫶

🗽I’ve been singing @taleabeer praises for a long time now. Female owned and operated by @lea_of_talea and @ta_of_talea - they do things right. Not only do they make thoughtful and lovely beers, they also hire great staff, have a welcoming and inclusive (and FUN) taproom, and the little details are front and center for them. No matter who you are, I think you’ll feel welcome here. I’ve now been to 3 of their taprooms, and they are all so unique, yet really tell a consistent community driven story as one @taleabeer ❤️

**Re-creating George Washington’s Original Home Brew!**

Jimmy travels down to Williamsburg, Brooklyn, to meet with Spencer Schnorbus, Lead Brewer at Talea Beer. In this episode, we learn about Spencer’s start in Southern California, creating George Washington’s original homebrew recipe in collaboration with the New York Public Library, the reason for heavy molasses usage in the 1700’s, and Talea’s other core beers.
